bit lost on the need for 'the danes' to apologise. There are several million of them and they didn't all publish these cartoons. It was the decision of a SINGLE newpaper.

The attacks on the embassies of Denmark in Syria, Lebanon and elsewhere were ALSO forms of expression; and those people have every right to express their anger and disgust freely and without constraints or limitations whatsoever.

We certainly can't agree on everything all the time. It takes a lot of different people to make a world!

Yes. Not all the muslims were on the planes that atacked the WTC on 9/11; and yet, didn't GW Bush pronounce the word "Crusade"?
The attacke on the WTC on 9/11 were also the architecture of one SINGLE person : G.W. Bush!

As to your skepticism regarding the attacks on the Danish embassies, you seem to have swallowed and fully digested the big lie which says that violence = terrorism. Violence has always played a positive role in the advancement of Humanity. The French revolution could never have happened had the people then feared they'd be called terrorists if they took action. Even the Yankees would still be under the British throne if they, too, had decided that revolting against the throne and claiming independence would be a terrorist act.
Social reactions to certain policies, including destroying shop windows (without taking advantage of that to rob the shops) is nothing but a mere rightful expression of anger; and, therefore, should also be included in the concept of freedom of expression along insulting cartoons, Graffitti on the walls and dying your hair blue.
