Unknown Amelle is picked as replacement for Mutya...
The agonising wait is over for Sugababes fans: Mutya's replacement has been announced.

Step forward 21-year-old Amelle Berrabah, the new third Sugababe. No, don't worry, you're not supposed to have heard of her. Amelle, from Hampshire, was formerly a member of a four-piece girl band trying to crack America, managed by the same company as the Sugababes. When Mutya told bosses she was planning to leave the band they lined Amelle up to replace her.

In a statement on the group's website she says: "For years I’ve dreamt of breaking into the music business but never did I dream of waking up one day to be the 3rd Sugababe! I still can't believe my luck!"

And Keisha, the only remaining founding member, adds: "When we met Amelle for the first time, it all just felt so right. We can’t wait for next year to show her off to our fans."
