I went last feb, and coming back on the ferry I saw several youths get busted by the police for hiding under lorries that were about to board the ferry.. poor kids got a proper beating, kicks and punches

Apart form that, the place was nice as always.. oh I noticed that the newly built train station, which looked cool...

Those poor kids are always getting beat up

I was withdrawing some cash from a machine near the beach & 2 kids came up to me & my sis and said "Hedou 3and houm flouss deyal makina" One tried to get my bag & I slapped him then they ran away... saw them again a few mins later and gave them my unopened coke & they disappeared again. Tourists must be afraid when the kids surround them, its such a shame, their parents should be taking better care of them.

Iceman- how do you get on in Morocco I wonder, being a fair haired Icelandic male?

I know exactly what you mean, you have to defend yourself & your possessions but then you feel bad for them because they are victims too, no food, ripped up clothes & some are orphans and are used to getting beat up, I hate to see them getting beaten up.

I`ll tell you a story...

While I was Agdal last feb, I thought let me go to the supermarket and buy a drink it was a bit warm and I felt thirsty

As I came out I was surrounded by a group of ladies 30-50 yrs and 2 young girls probably 10 or so.. I gave the two kids about DH30 and walked on up towards the high street....

I then get the group of old ladies chase after me all the way up the street must have been a good 3/4 of a km I was walking and they were running.. so I continue at my pace and next thing they are right next to me... I say "ma ainde floos... yallah..seer!" and walked on and as I looked back I swear the number of women had doubled, more and more had joined the group... I just called a taxi and jumped in...

The thing is if you give 1 person a few dirhams, theya ll will be after you...I did feel bad though...
