What do you think ?apostasy :is it a crime ? To what extent does applying of penalty of apostasy contradict the increasing tendency towards democracy as well as freedom of expression thought and religion (belief) in our Islamic world?

Time ago I made this question : if were possible for a Molsim to change his/her religion and to become Christian.

Much time ago, I read on net that a person changed religion, from Moslim to Christia, and this person was now forced to be distant from his country because this is not accept.

I read the Koran much time ago so I don't remember what the Book say about to change religion.

But why can to be so wrorn to change religion for Islam ?
