Under the Open Sky Morocco-EU, first of the kind with a non-European country apart from the USA, the Moroccan and European skies will be open to the two parties' airliners.
The move will boost Morocco's tourism program aiming to attract 10 million tourists by 2010, according to observers.
The agreement will be initialed Wednesday on the sidelines of the Euro-Mediterranean ministerial conference on transport by Moroccan transport minister, Karim Ghellab, and the vice president of the European Commission in charge of transports, Jacques Barrot.
Negotiations were held in three rounds, two of which took place in Rabat this past September and November.
