I find this event interesting. With this actually happening I can see that we are approaching a time when Arab and Middle Eastern Homosexuals and Lesbians will not be outlawed for much longer (there are already Lesbian/Homosexual movements galvanising in countries, such as Maroc, Tunisia and Lebanon etc)... The Middle East is being encouraged to let go of the stringent conservatism and to adapt to a Western-esque standard. I can see that aspired acceptance to such groups is already being slowly espoused in the Arab media, such as music video clips and some films.

We had some similar cases in Morocco, and as u said there are movements here trying to get their "rights"!
I think that the hormone therapy would be the best peaceful solution, I mean for the "deviant" persons!

Hormonetherapy is useless!

All it will do is effect them physically, but being gay is in the mind, they have brains that think like a female but in a mans body..naturally women are attracted to men..

They can decriminalise but they cannot change attitudes. Homophobia is alive & kicking all over the Arab world & it is not going to change with a few video clips. Lebanese or Egyptian media do not control anything. They titillate but will never educate. Who takes them seriously?!

Homosexuality simply does not fit in Islam & for this reason, homosexuals will never have the rights they seek. Sad perhaps but I genuinely cannot see them ever being accepted in Muslim society; especially with the current move to religious conservatism.

I've just edited my post (before i read urs), so u should go back and read!
But I stick my opinion based on my background and that's what everyone do.
I think that being normal and thinking that ppl should be normal is a normal attitude only for normal ppl.
