RAM to purchase five latest generation Boeings
Casablanca, Nov. 2 - Morocco's national flag carrier Royal Air Maroc (RAM) will purchase five Boeing's long-range airliner, 787 Dreamliner of the latest generation under a contract signed here Wednesday, said a RAM press release.

This acquisition, worth USD 650 million, aims to reinforce and modernize the company's fleet and consolidates its international network in North America (the USA and Canada).

The American airplane constructor and the largest player in the global commercial aircraft market, which won in July a call for tenders launched by RAM to modernize its long-range fleet, replacing its B767 and B757, will deliver the Moroccan carrier the first airplane in October 2008.

RAM acquired last March a Boeing 737-800 of the latest generation, a second acquisition in the year 2005 after that of February 9.

The Moroccan carrier will purchase 24 medium haul aircrafts by 2012, for USD 1.5 billion, part of an ambitious program aiming to reinforce and modernize the company’s fleet.

They can purchase all they want all the roccas I know have stopped flying with RAM. I guess this means the prices will go even higher now?!

Absolutely true! i wont fly with them.
