Haaaaalo halooooooooo

typical Moroccan telephone conversation

Mum: is that you?
hello son how are you, how are you
son: i am ok how is things
mum well son how are you? how is your wife how are your children , how is your heath etc..
son: Mum i am ok hamdolilah so what is up?
mum: ho ware you again and again repeat repear repeat .............................................................
by the time the son manages to go through the introduction (£20 was already spent)
then comes the main course

and don't you dare try to bring up a problem and most importantly do not say that your wife is sad or on PMT or anything or you will be there for another 30 minutes
conclusion

Here comes the Dua'h
if you are lucky you may just get something like
May allah bless you
but if your mum is religious then God help you
she may end up reading the whole Quranic verses and few tips from Sunnah then the main du'ah

At least you get that far. On some of these phonecards, you only get as far as 'can you hear me'?

Yep, ask several times. Then ask about everyone individual. Takes a good few minutes to get past 'labass'
