Talking 'Ender hardman beaten by ex

I know domestic violence is not a laughing matter....but how funny that Grant & Phil are back in Eastenders putting the frighteners on everyone and then this story breaks!

Here's the story-

A CLOSE pal of fiery Angela Bostock told last night how she clobbered ex-lover Steve McFadden — as stunned cops watched.
EastEnders tough-nut Steve, 46, turned up at Angela’s house yesterday to clear personal belongings out of her garage.

Officers had gone with him to keep the peace because the pair had almost come to blows the last time they saw each other.

But the cops could only stand and stare as Angela, 29, came steaming out of the house and laid into Steve, who plays Phil Mitchell.

The friend said: “Angela was in a complete state. She came tearing out of the house and thrust their baby daughter Mollie into Steve’s arms.

“She then whacked him across the face, as he was holding the baby. He staggered a bit but managed not to drop the child.

“It all happened in front of the police so Angela was promptly arrested and taken to the police station. Steve was in a complete state of shock.”

Angela, who has a second child by Steve, spent six hours in police cells after hitting the actor below one eye outside her home in Haringey, North London.

She was later cautioned and released after the actor decided not to press charges.

The pal told last night how the punch-up was sparked by a silly row over the garage.

The friend added: “After they split up they had an agreement that Angela could stay in the house, but would not go into the garage. Steve popped in on Tuesday and found Angela in there rifling through his personal stuff.

“He was furious and called the police, as did Angela. When officers turned up they insisted they couldn’t get involved because it was a domestic dispute.

“Steve phoned police again the next day and said he’d be changing the locks to the garage. The officers decided to accompany him at 9am yesterday because of the pair’s volatile relationship.”

When the police arrived, Angela at first refused to believe they were genuine and would not hand over the garage keys.

Finally she gave them the keys before going inside and getting one-year-old daughter Mollie.

It is not the first time Angela has been arrested after an argument with Steve. She was nicked in August for allegedly breaking into his home and stealing a video. She was later released on police bail.

The pair have always had a turbulent relationship. They had first child Teona seven years ago but later split.
Steve got together with EastEnders co-star Lucy Benjamin, but they broke-up when it was revealed Angela was again pregnant with his baby.

He refused at first to believe Mollie was his but accepted the news after a positive DNA test.

Steve has since then been a proud dad, attending Mollie’s christening last year and seeing both daughters regularly.

Both children were last night with Steve at his North London home.

In August Steve and Angela’s relationship hit an all-time low when she accused him of forcing her to go to dogging spots and have sex in front of strangers.

A Haringey Police spokeswoman said last night: “A 9.35am officers attended an address in Haringey regarding an alleged assault. A woman was arrested outside her home address for allegedly assaulting a man.

“She was taken to a North London police station where she was cautioned before being released.”

A spokesman for Steve said: “He was not arrested and will not be commenting further.”

Angela refused to comment last night. But when asked if she was Angela when she answered her door, she joked: “Yes I am. What were you expecting, some muscly beast?”
