Morocco is getting better and better

Salam
Despite what people say in Morocco. our blad is getting better and better.
Good freedom of speech, better pay packages if one gets that Job beautiful weather excellent tolerance toward non muslims etc.. the list is so long.
with as little as possible you can life far better than in here
Many Europeans are heading to Marakesh to live there and the prices of posh Flats there has rocketed in th elast 3 years. i was reading the independant on Sunday and they run an article on Marakesh and prices of villa are now in the region of £1M-£2M
Lets be honest with each others no matter what you earn here in the west, you will not be able to enjoy the life in the same way as in Morocco
What do you think?

To a point you are right, if you have money that is! the reason why i could never live in morocco is because i find it really hard to see the very obvious divide. 3 classes, (high class) those that lavish in money (usually the money of the government) and those that work and get by,(working class) then those that steal beg and borrow(downright penniless).
what makes this worse is the way you are treated according to your class,
my first day in Morocco this summer, we had just come off the ferry in Tangier and stopped in asilah for coffee. we were sat outside waiting for our drinks not quite believing we were in Morocco!
this guy walks in to the café he looked poor and scruffy went to the counter and asks for a coke.
i could not believe what happened next.... the waiter walks in from being outside...presumes the man is begging.....then aggressively man handles him outside with abuse!!! My dad got up and helped the guy out, it was awful..what a welcome into morocco that was! if you have money you are treated well....if you dont...

Dear Mselya, I toally agree with on all what u said, but I wanna add that Morocco, as a country, is the best place to live in this world, unfortunately, out Moroccan countrymates make this beautiful paradise a burning hell; in other words: good country, bad countrymates (the vast majority, not all of them/us).

...My suggestion is as young and talented moroccans we should perhaps start a european group where we can develop a strategy to remove the officials that fill and clog up the high positions of moroccan government...i think by this morocco can ever be more fruitful then it already is..

"...we can develop a strategy to remove the officials that fill and clog up the high positions of moroccan government...i think by this morocco can ever be more fruitful then it already is.." i agree with this, but not with idea that we necessarily need to apply the European model; we have our own culture, religion, social organization and identity; that's why i think that we need to invent our own model based on a combination of the best developement models in the world to fit our needs & characteristics!

Regards

Isn't that supposed to be already happening, though slowly? apparently King Mo VI is firing his dads crooked pals and replacing them with his pals from Uni, who are supposed to be more worldly and righteous.... I heard about this when I was on my last trip in Maroc.

dude I think you do not get it ...I do not think I would call that a good news cause it is not ...the fact that rich europeans are buying villas and houses in Morocco does not mean that life will be easier for us in Morocco !!! on the contrary it will be worse , it only means that Morocco will get as bad as it is in here in the west , people will me less humans and more materialistic and life will lose its quality ...and there will be a time when we will regret those old good days when we were poor happy and yet unsatisfied
