Marrakech visitor numbers skyrocket

The number of tourists who stayed in the Marrakech's classified hotels skyrocketed during the period between January and September, said a release of the Council of Regional Tourism of Marrakech.
The number of tourists who visited Marrakech between January and September reached 1,126,000, an increase of 24%, compared to the same period of 2004.
Moreover, the number of nights tourists spent in classified Marrakech hotels, for the same period, rose to 4,145,000, an increase of 31% with an occupation rate of 69%, said the same source.
In September alone, the number of visitors rose by 22%, while the number of overnight stays increased by 25%.

Thats great but I really hope they don't ruin it, the worst thing would be to see 'fish & chips' on a menu! Morocco has a lovely variety of healthy cuisine.

If anyone wants fish & chips they should naff off to the costa del sol!
