Talking Hotel in a cave

THERE IS NO room service, no pool, no coffee machine, no TV and no electricity - but the accommodation does include wooden stoves and mattresses.
I expect the trade will pick up anytime now

For £2.85 ($5) per night - or £14 ($25) a month if you are feeling particularly reclusive - you can take a holiday in a cave.

Retired builder Richard Zimmerman, an 89-year-old also known as Dugout Dick, says his 'hotel' can double as a bomb shelter and serve as a mining site - if you bring your own pick.

Mr Zimmerman, who lives in a cave permanently, has spent decades carving out 12 quarters in a hillside overlooking the Salmon River in the US state of Idaho.

Now he plans to jump-start tourism in the mountain community. So far, a few tourists from overseas - one from Britain, another from Spain - have taken him up on the offer.

'I expect the trade will pick up anytime now,' he said.

what's so funny about this ....there are entire villages carved in caves in Morocco , my original village in Morocco has a good amount of caves , i'd say all the old part was caves ...the cave is the best house to a man , it is cool in the summer , hot in the winter and very solid ...etc...a cave is also like a refregerator , in the village we used them to store potatoes and other vegetables and to keep them fresh.... ....if you have never slept in a cave especially in a hot summer evenning ,then you have not seen much of this life yet.......
