Funny you said that it took over 1426 years of slanderings and lies and twisting of the verses and creation of fake narations etc.. by the evil doers in order to defeat Islam but they have failed and will fail.
The Arab Jews spent all night agruing with Mohammed pbuh and told him that according to the scripture " Islam will last 75 years then move it to 200 then 250... and then they left and said we gave up because Mohamemd has also convinced us that it will last forever (all based on the Alphabetical numbers associated with hebrew and arabic)."
Abou lahab the evil and cused man used to hit people who used to listen to Mohammed pbuh and even went as far as getting some people from persia to preach poetry because that is what he used to think of the Quran, there were two occasions when he tried to kill the prophet and one of them he saw Fire in between him and Mohammed pbuh and again saw huge image which scared him to death and when he gave up he chalanged Mohammed pbuh that he would be a mulsim in order to prove that Islam is fake and Allah swt kept him a disbeliever no matter how hard he tried and even sent a verse telling us how he would suffer in hell with his evil wife and indeed 10 years later he died as prophisied.

other occasion a person travelled to Madena to kill the prophet not to realise that Allah swt had already told Mohammed through Gabriel pbuh the secret before hand. The man said to Mohammed pbuh he came to ask about religion and mohammed saws said "you are a liar you came to kill me this is what you said last night etc.... and the man was so convinced that no one knew about his plan except Allah swt so he became a muslim
i can fill out a book with the miracles this unlerned man called Mohammed pbuh whom all prophets before spoken of and in particular Jesus son mary pbu them both said. he is the praised one who will lead us to heaven may Allah swt send his blessings and prayers to him an dhis folowers same maneer he did with Abraham SAWS
When these evil men see miracles in front of them instead of worshiping One God they decided to kill their messengers or mock them so naturally God will telll us what kind of evil they are/were he knows what secrect they keep to themselves which we do not know.
If Jesus pbuh could not convince his own people even with miracles such as reviving the death that he was a messenger whoelse can?
Mohammed pbuh said to his daughter when she tried to remove the dirt Abou lahab inflicted on Mohammed pbuh when he was praying she was crying and he said to her no my child DO nOT cry this is only a body the soul is what matters most and Allah will make us victious over the wrong doers because the truth stands out from miles so just be patient. and we did as told in Quran way before it happened.
So what I am trying to say out of all this is that God is the creator and the protector of his own message , thanks to his most kindness he allows evil up to a point but then punishes whom he wishes according to their evil deeds. so let Allah swt take care of his creations and let us be patient and lets follow our beloved prophet pbuh despite what the evil people plan. let us all say.

Sometimes it takes a nonsense case to force a rethink on a ridiculous law. I can't see that they will get far with it. Plus, as the others have said, the man is a loony.

Mind you he has the right to worry. if the Book is a lie it would have be history by now. yet the Book is a truth and shall be till due date hence the worry
That man has no control over God's plans. who knows maybe God has a test for us to see how we can preserve the book despite the restrictions forced on us.
I remember the Shiekh people caused the theatre up north to close its doors because of the slandering against the religion (even if i do not agree with it I have no right to slander it)
