Welcome mselya.I am of the same opinon that moroccon ppl hardly speak english. Here on morocco.com there r moroccons speaking fluently..might be as they have migrated to UK or the english speaking nations.French seems to be most spoken language after arabic. Wonder why the international language aint popular?
Abt fes: its a nice beautiful city with some historical places near the old medina.I love fes and like it there on my visits to this fabulous country 'maghreb' |

hi Ahlam, thanks for the welcome!
i just find it really frustrating when you look forward to using your arabic and increasing your vocabulary when you are in morocco, and all they want to speak to youin, is in french! ......maybe i should have concentrated more in french class... when i had to learn to how say "sir bhelek al hmaar in your dreams!"

an international language opens new doors for communication between foriegners who basically have a different mother tongue. Morocco like algeria and tunisia is actually closing these new horizons for the english speaking tourists and business men.Though i must admit the taxis and shopkeepers in Casa speak tits n bits of english. Govt offices, banks, ministries only have command in french. Only the french and dirty arabs of khaleej enjoy communicating in morocco.
