Question

I wasn't sure where to post this, so I apologize in advance if it's in the wrong place...

I'll be moving back to Morocco in November to work in Rabat, yay! Since my husband lives in Tinghir, he prefers that I stay with family/friends up there - but the apartment that he's found for me is in Sale. (shared with another friend of the family, F, who's working up there too) I love Sale, but every time I've visited, we've been picked up at the train station or driven our own car there. I know nothing about public transportation between the two cities, and I hear that petit taxis aren't an option. Since I won't have a car, should I just take the bus every morning/afternoon? Is the distance walkable? (It didn't seem that way, from what I remember.)

If anyone knows of someone who's looking for a roommate in Rabat, please let me know! I'll be working in the medina (Zankat Elhassani), so somewhere in that area would be great. I don't drink or smoke, and I work a lot, so I'd be gone from the apartment most of the time...prefer another F, obviously!

Where in Sale? If you are anywhere near the train station (Tabrikt???) you can commute up to Rabat Ville in no time. Regular trains. Its the Kenitra-Casa route so its usually air-con and is full so its safe to travel. Any other travel is going to be too hard. I know someone who drives from Sale to Rabat & back every day & it takes ages in rush hour.
Grand taxis are a pain & buses are too much hassle for a non-native. Safer, quicker & cleaner to go by train.
