A man whose girlfriend died in the July 7 London terror attacks says the suicide bombers had "all humanity twisted and brainwashed out of them".
John Falding spoke as a security assessment is carried out on a videotape made by Mohammad Sidique Khan. The bomber, thought to be the ringleader of the terrorist cell which hit the capital, killed six people on the Circle Line at Edgeware Road. Mr Falding had been on the phone to partner Anat Rosenberg, 29, a charity worker, when she was killed by an explosion which ripped through a bus at Tavistock Square. He told of the "ghastly noise" of "incredible screams" in the background before the line went dead. In a statement, Mr Falding said: "These indiscriminate attacks killed and injured Muslims and devastated their relatives and loved ones. "They killed, injured and devastated many totally opposed to the so-called war in Iraq, totally opposed to Blair. "Where is the justice in that? Where is the sense, what is the point?" Khan, 30, from Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, said in the video that Britain would be targeted again. He warned: "Until you stop the bombing, gassing, imprisonment and torture of my people, we will not stop this fight. "We are at war and I am a soldier. Now you too will taste the reality of this situation." He added: "Our words are dead until we give them life with our blood." Khan claimed bombings in London and in Madrid in 2004 were the fault of Western citizens. "Your democratically elected governments continuously perpetuate atrocities against my people and your support of them makes you directly responsible, just as I am directly responsible for protecting and avenging my Muslim brothers and sisters," he said. Foreign Secretary Jack Straw has said a security assessment is being carried out on the tape. He repeated the Government's view that there was no excuse for terrorism of any kind after the video was shown on Arabic TV network al Jazeera. It was the first time al Qaeda made a direct claim to have been behind the bombings. http://www.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,30000-13428168,00.html
