This isn't in anyway a sarcastic remark towards those living in the U.S(Americans or not)to get with the program and join the rest of the world in the sour taste of the high gasoline prices. But if you really translate those prices to leters and cost of living , you really find it to be a well appreciated bargain. They are apprx 4 leters in a galon, a leter of unleaded gas in Morocco cost around 10dhs ,that would put a galon at apprx 4$.Now let's put that in the prospective of what 4$ gets you in the U.S, and what 40dhs will get you in Morocco.Minimum wage in the U.S is around 6$ an hour, when it's 6$ a day in Morocco. This means that gas in Morocco is simply, extreamly expensive and straight out of reach for the minimum wage salary person.I really think -us- here will soon get adjusted to the new era of gasoline pricing, it just makes sense when my old neighbors in Newyork are asking for around a million $ for a 3 bedroom townhouse with no central AC, that i will be willing to pay 6 or 8 dollars a gallon for gas.
peace.
