Unhappy

Robin Cook, Labour politician and minister, who resigned on principle from the UK cabinet in protest at the second Iraq War, died suddenly earlier on today.

Very sad.. I was watching C4 news when they had made the announcement... It will be his noble stance and anti war protest resignation, which will always be remembered and admired by those who have always opposed the war that is happening in Iraq.

Absolutely LaLaMiMi.

It was truly amazing to watch his resignation speech. I think the first genuine standing ovation that I've seen in Parliament.

The British people (Muslim, Christian, Jewish and otherwise) lost a friend today.

I agree with you... If I remember correctly, he had written some very informative articles, just before his resignation. He was a key figure in standing up to Blair and reminding him and others, that he had the facts in hand, when it came to the lack of probability of there being presence of WMD in Iraq.
