Question

As do most Religions, they all seem to be unclear, confusing that a simple person can twist and turn it to any meaning he/she wishes? Why is that? why aren't religions including Islam very simple and clear to follow. I thought the purpose of religions was to lead people to the right path. All I can see is everytime some one becomes religious, he/she becomes weird, confused, brainwashed etc etc....?????

Islam is very simple
----------------------------------------
1-believe in God and all messengers and Angels etc..
2- do good and avoid evil
3- be responsable for your own actions

Lightbulb

The key fact here is not that any particular religion is hard to understand, but that the average British person finds it hard to understand why anyone would be seriously religious.

This is because many people see religion as what came before science, and they see religion and the modern world view as mutually exclusive. This has it's roots in the creation VS science argument. For those in western countries who have little knowledge of religions other than christianity, once you show that the creation theory is wrong it's like pulling the curtain way on the wizard of OZ. The rest just looks like a story as well.
