We need to do something

Dear all,

In the light of the recent terrorist attacks in London and the consequences it has on the muslim community, I think we should do something to show The world and English people in particular that Islam and muslims have nothing to do with those criminals who act on the name of God and Islam. They have caused us a lot of damage during the past years, and the recent attack just top it all. I am sure for example a demonstration organised by moroccans or even better the arab and muslims of Britain to show our condemnation to the attacks, would be well received and would stop the right wing using this opportunity to attack Islam and muslims. I am not sure what we can do but i feel we need to take the initiative and do something to show the world that we do not accept and do not agree with those people acting in the name of Islam.

Please come up with ideas, and if anyone knows how to organise a demonstration then lets all get together and do something.

I told you guys this 4 years ago since 9/11. But back then you guys didn't seem to get it and some of you did not care, So of you even were happy it happened. Now that it happened in London, you seem to change and view it differently.

I know that many Muslims are being advised to visit Kings Cross station to lay flowers etc., after Jumuah on Friday... I think it will be announced at Masjids and it's on some websites as well....

I agree, there should be something like the Muslim Unity March but not exclusively for just Muslims? A march may be a little out of place, perhaps a remembrance day/ gathering at a park or something which won't cause disruption?

I’ll keep you posted if I here of any existing plans for such a demo in LON ISA.

Yes I agree mosques and Immams have a duty to educate young muslims properly.

I think Mosques should be stomping out the psychos who are filling young people's minds with DISTORTED interpretations of Islam, particularly JIHAD.

At our local mosque, there are a few nutters who occasionally give out leaflets (outside btw). A few months back, the Imam made a specific announcement about avoiding these people. THAT is who we need to stop. Our young people need to learn about the real Islam & those presenting twisted violent Islam need to be stomped on by the REST OF US.
