I was jumping like mad when I heard the result live at
mile end park in east London, everyone was hugging..
what I special day.
I am proud and glad that I supported, helped the bid.
London can do it as the IOC member decided so, The games
will be good for London and Londoners in general. The
governement are pushing for Sport to be included in the
curriculum, this is good news for people who are involved
in sport including my self.
London 2010 will improve the life of Londoners, visitors,
it will creat jobs, sort out the transport and most of all
kids will stay out of the street and learn to take up
sport activities which is good for them and their parent.

I delebratly oponed this thread because I thought the start
of your thread was very unfair towards the French who I feel were very unlucky for the third time not to host the games.
I am sure they will host the future olympics very soon.

Perhaps if the French were a little less smug and arrogant they would have won the bid

It is nothing to do with attitude, the London bid Team
beat the French at the finish line. they were very smart
at the final stages I mean the last couple of hours before the decision was made. They played a fine game to win the
the Olymbic games, fair to them they should be an example to others.. the word is believe in your self and you will see, feel the power and that power produce positive results..
I like Chirac he is a clever politician...all the presure
from Bush, Blair and many others ...you have to hand it to him he is standing tall.

"Standing tall"?! Its more like "tail between the legs"
Come onto the other Olympic thread and you will see pics of how Chirac is "standing" after the result

The French thought they had it in the bag, they boo'ed when our number was drawn EVEN BEFORE THE VOTING STARTED, and they boo'ed when we were announced as winners. So their malice makes our victory even sweeter

I don't support Bush or Blair but u shouldn't be naive about Chirac. Do some research, his corruption during his time as Paris mayor, xenophobia towards Muslims etc
