An important event related to the independence of Western Sahara has been reported differently by two sources. The first source being the local newspapers which, in their bulk, submit their news to the Ministry of Interior for validation before publishing; and the second being the Norwegian support Committee for Western Sahara (NSCWS). The formers have been instructed to briefly report the problem and use such epithets as “dissidents” for the organizers of the demonstrations, “minors” for the demonstrators; but never mentioned that, during these demonstrations in Moroccan controlled city of Al Ayun, the flag of the Sahrawi Republic was raised and slogans in favor of independence were chanted. The NSCWS, on the other hand, reports the following:

I totally support Morocco when it comes to the sahara no matter what you say or do but onething I do not support the governement is the half price bit that was out of order and yes we were far better before 1975 untill that crappy land reappeared and caused so much headache ****
