The ebooks revolution !!!!!

I have been collecting ebooks since at least 6 years !!!! ebooks mean books in digital format be it pdf ,hh , rft , or even textfiles !!!! in the beginning few books were online , but as people are scanning more and more ebooks are now available , today I can find almost any book any subject from the most expenssive ones to the more rare ones , people are scanning from theire own libraries , from public libraries from universities or colleges libraries , all it takes is few scans with cheap scanner , using an OCR programm or even leaving them as gifs or jpegs and putting the whole thing together in a pdf file for example !!!!! the whole product is then usually made of few MBs easily transferable via the internet and in seconds the whole thing is all over the net and people are downloading it !!!! ain't that great !!! now in minutes people can download entire books if not entire encyclopedias !!! I call this a revolution especially for our third world countries ..today knoweledge is easier and easier and it is available to the most of us including the poors of the third world !!!!!! I remember when I was young sometimes I had to travel as far as Casablanca to find a descent library where I can find my beloved books !!!!
the third world should take advantage of this new revolution , it is up to the third world to made of it a revolution , knoweledge is being available for all , what a great day !!!!! few days ago and for the first time I have seen on TV some publishers start complaining about theire books being copied !! too late , the musicians and the movie makers did the same before them ...nobody can stop the revolution of knoweledge , and knoweledge should be free and available for each and everyone especially the more poor and the more remote of the humans !!!! You understand that a guy like me gives a toss about a word called "copyright" !!! well you are right for me "copyright" means lirterally "the right to copy " ...LOL ...copyright is a mean made by richs to control and hijack the knoweledge , in the global goal of controlling the humans and enslaving them !!!! freedom starts by the freedom to free knoweledge !!!!

I understand the "guy, like you part" but you must not be a writer. It is no fun to see your words copied without your permission....... Yeah what about the author? Isn't (s)he entitled to earn money off his writings and work?

I know too growing up in Morocco it was hard to find a good book. And when you found one, it was too expensive Because the import rates on books were ridiculous. But that is a fault of the Moroccan system and education, by not encouraging the essence or reading. It is not the fault of someone who put a book together.


Other question: you download them for free (probably hehehehe) because a lot of e-books, you still have to pay.

sure , you read them of the screen , you can import them also to your Ipod if you have one ...I recommand the LCD screens , the CRTs are harmfull to the eyes ....

I am not a writer , not yet , but to my opinion a writer should not write for money , it is well said in the Qoran that Allah curses for eternity those who sell knoweledge for money or who hold it from the masses ...the knoweledge should be free for all and the writers shoould seek moral rewards and not material rewards ....now I understand that this concept is hard to understand in todays world , cause it is too materialistic ,but this was the concept in long centuries of the human history untill the jews took control of every aspect of life and made this materialistic world as we know it today where it is hard to live unless you get you hands dirty and play theire materialistic game at one stage or the other ....in the past authors wrote great books and passed great knoweledge to the future generations and never had in mind to get rich out of it , in todays world some authores write a book with the only thing in mind is making money out of it ...ridiculous !!!!!!

as to where you can download free ebooks , well I recommend the p2p programms , : kazaa , emule , bittorent , personnaly I use emule and BT , actually the web is full of resources , you just have to know them , if you need more specific informations just ask and we will talk by emails if you want
