Moroccan candidate to British House of Commons
London - RE Z O U K Boufass is the first Moroccan to stand as a candidate for a seat in the House of Commons (Lower Chamber of the British parliament). He said that his candidacy aims at filling the vacuum due to the Arab absence on the political scene. The 50 year-old politician arrived in Great Britain in 1974 where he worked in hotel and restaurant sectors. Father of three, he created with other Arab intellectuals and businessmen a new party labelled "Civilisation party", of which he is the only candidate for the May 5 general elections in Great Britain... |
