Earlier this month, the Moroccan press flooded its pages with the "happy" piece of news that the King "paid a surprise visit" to the Islamic Orphanage in Ain Chok, Casablanca; and that, as a result, a number of the administrators are now being tried for a number of charges including embezzlement. The Orphanage in question has been operating of the sort for decades now (I once offered to give free English lessons to the host orphans for more than a year, to help them pass their exams, and they used to tell me quite a lot of secrets); and not only THAT Orphanage. In fact every Association, company, bank, or organization established under the reign of king Hassan (MHRH) was required to fumble with public funds, else it would be dismantled and its administrators would be sued for "Too Good A Conduct". But the point is not there, actually.
Now imagine this :
The Moroccan people pay a surprise visit to the Royal Palace. Wouldn't they find "advanced practices in embezzlement and systematic sonofabitshing"? Wouldn't they want to recover their stolen money and punish the looters accordingly? Wouldn't you, reader herein, want to pay the looters in the same way Romanians paid their Nicolai Ceausescu? Personnaly, I'd love that. Would be even thrilled to see bloody pieces of Royal brain all over the marble floor.

too simplistic ...the situation is more complex than that ....violence is not the key ...the king will change or leave if only half of the moroccans stopped cheering him and praising him , the problem is inside the moroccan society , too many submissive people and too many ars licking cheapos ...france will leave if we stop comsuming its mediocre culture , and language and if we stopped comsuming its low quality products ...can we do that , are we all on the same harmony , on the same wave ?!?!?! I do not think so , the majority of moroccans are different from us , all they care about is eating and dressing etc...( according to the huge number of recent franchises in fast food and clothing stores recently, it is a boom of comsumption ) ...this is what you get when you have people with no values and no ideals except that of comsuming ...few very few like me will put theire ideals first and foremost before anything else in the world ...we are a specie in fast extention....

I know NAK that the money is not in the royal palace. It was just a metaphore! The best farms have been stolen by the Royal family. The reputation of Morocco being a haven for Hashish has been developed by the Royal family who have always nurtured the production and export of such deadly stuff towards Europe and elsewhere. The O.N.A holding is just a good example of how the Royal family have stolen the Moroccan resources for the profit of ONE family against a whole miserable people.
I do also agree that France has been in for something in all this; but I suspect that you are favoring Americans in taking that over - and I don't agree with that! Americans are now the custodians of the Moroccan Monarchy. They don't give a damn about the people so long as the rulers are keeping them at bay and protecting their interests. Therefore, I strongly believe that attacks should not only remain at the level of the local reign, but also towards all those that protect the thieves for their own interest; hence the validity and the unquestionable legality of Bin Laden's attack on the WTC!
