I mean for all we know, should our situations have been a bit different, we ourselves could have be sharing those very same opinions. It's just because for the most part, although we've been born here, we know people who've been affected by immigration in some way - we see what conditions people were living in before and what they are prepared to do in order to secure a better life for themselevs and their offspring.
I'd like to think that no matter where I was from I'd always be fairly open minded & liberal, but you really never know... I can understand peoples' frustration at the seemingly never ending influx of immigrants to the UK, but at the same time I sympathise with the refugees/immigrants (the genuine cases that is).
