Question

Hiya, anyone got any info or a link to where I can find out more about this certificate of approval that you need to get in order to marry a non UK citizen?

Hbiba - don't marry them if they need one of those. Noone will get them unless they are rich work permit holders. They brought them in to filter people out not to help. The aim is for people to apply to enter in the proper way instead of getting married here to evade control.

Advise please

My fiancee and I have to go back to Morocco to get married there. We tried ringing up the regiter office to book it but their reply was that unless we get the COA form we wern't entiltled to get married. And in order to qualify for this, my fiancee has to have at least a 3 month valid visa. now her student visa runs out very soon and we can't do anything which is somehow frustrating!!

Any one has any suggestions as what we could do apart from having to go bak to Morocco I would be very grateful.
