The Moroccan law is very clear on this subject,. You are Moroccan as long as your father is Moroccan. No matter what country you were born in, the Moroccan law applies to you. Remember that the Moroccan law applies to foreigners who visit Morocco as well.

I agree with this law. I think it's a good law. Now I know all my kids will be Moroccan.

BTW I find your signature disturbing. It's too large, takes up half of the page.

What you state is not completely true. You are only considered Moroccan if you are born by a Moroccan father and in his hala madaniya.

I agree = big signatures are annoying. Can't you make the image smaller Jeff? I think CoolPharess has managed to do it with his - could you do the same please?

The nationality thing is pants. I think it should be able to pass from father OR mother.

Typical nonsense from a patriarchal society.

I think its a stupid law. many kids in Morocco are stateless because their mums are Moroccan but their dads who left them are not. they can not have an IID card passport etc..
There are only 3 country where you would never loose a nationality . Morocco Israel and Korea to loose Moroccan nationality you need to submit an application to the Interior ministry and a parliament session would make a decision,

I think it would be stupid for somebody to even think about giving up their Moroccan Citizenship. I did some research, and found out that the United States allows for dual citizenship to exist as long as it was natural, meaning it happened through birth in another country. But if a US citizen, whether naturalized or born-citizen, applies for a foreign citizenship, the act by itself is considered renouncement of US citizenship, and the person can lose their citizenship at the time. I think that, like the USA, this law is very fair.
