You are very welcome....I met my husband in Feb. 2002, I moved to Morocco 1 year later and then we were married. I lived there for almost 1 year before I decided to return to the US...I then started the process to bring him here...but I was unable to find a someone here to sponsor him, so I left Morocco, came back here found a job that paid well enough and then sent in the papers...I had to send the papers to him in Morocco, since that is where I first applied...He then contacted the US consulate in Morocco and made an appointment, he got his Visa the same day he went to this appointment and on June 9, 2004 he arrived here in the US, long after 9/11/2001. So see it is very possible to get your husband to here. Yes the person that sponsors him has to be a US citizen, unless he comes on a student or a tourist Visa...but then you are making things more complicated, and as for which is easier a Fiancee Visa or an Immigrant visa I don't really know, I just know how we did it....where will you two get married?? here or there??? has he ever been here before??? My husband had never been here before untill June 2004. Salam Alaikom

No, my fiance has never been to the US. I almost got married in Morocco this past time I saw him, but I didn't have all of my documents. Now my parents are hasseling me to worry about my career instead of marriage.... my mother wants to meet my fiance before I marry him, so I thought the fiance visa might suit that. I guess in the case of sponsorship, I better find a decent job soon! And congratulations on your husband's arrival to the US... has it been a big adjustement for him? What were you doing in Morocco? I've thought of finding a teaching job there but I don't think that would help much with immigration!

Thank you...he loves it here...he misses his family of course...he is working at a great job and everything is great.....When I was in Morocco...I was a stay at home mom...I had to leave there because of schooling for my kids and because of safety concerns....my husband took care of us, he had a business there.....I would not suggest for you to get married if you aren't ready...and especially not to just bring him here....you can do a fiancee visa then if you aren't ready for marriage....so find something better for employment...get a guideline listing of how much you would have to make to sponor him....I think for you to sponsor him you would have to make...15,150 dollars a year...unless it has changed recently...which if it did it wouldn't be much more....do what is right for you..forget what anyone else says....if you both truely love each other....you will be together....Best wishes...Salam
