Sista, you're right, there *should* be an order to it...but people like to sit and talk and debate and introduce their own way of doing things

LOL@LDNgirl.. what do guys know eh?!

its like during Ramadan when the whole world fasts seperately. its hard enough explaining to non-muslims about Eid etc,but when nobody does it on the same day, how can muslims ever stand together,we can't even agree on dates!!

Its a sad state of affairs!

Something in that article posted about how technology unites. Technically it should, but the line needs to be drawn either they should proceed with this form or stick with sighting by individuals.

Talking LOL

Choukrane Girls!

As to the regularisation thing. I think it's really nice how we look to natural occurances for signs of special days. My non-muslim friends think that it is very "groovy" how we "follow the wave of nature man", suffice to say that these people are aging hippies lol... But I'd hate it if it was like Christmas or easter. It takes the suspense away I think.

At the end of the day, Muslims have one belief that unites us - Allah SWT and the direction in which we all turn to pray 5 times a day.

fair points indeed, but it does get annoying waiting around to hear when to fast etc then you find out actually you're a day late or sthg like that ..besides it would be lovely if everyone celebrated Eid on the same day like w/Xmas..at least you have preparation time
