RABAT, Dec. 28 - Morocco has decided, under instructions of HM King Mohammed VI, to send an emergency aid to countries that were hit Sunday by the Tsunami disaster.

Nearly 44,000 people have been killed by a massive Tsunami, triggered by a quake off the Indonesian island of Sumatra that sent waves travelling across the Indian Ocean and Bay of Bengal.

The Moroccan Foreign Ministry said the aid, consisting of medical supply, vaccines and blankets, will be dispatched to Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Maldives.

The monarch on Sunday sent condolence messages to the leaders and governments of these countries.

More than 20 countries have pledged emergency aid worth more than $60 million. Several Asian nations have sent naval ships carrying supplies and doctors to devastated areas.

The death toll in the tsunami disaster has soared past 100,000 today - and is set to climb higher.

Inna le larhi wa inna lahi raji houn

And the shares in insurance and not to mention travel companies will continue to fall and fall.
