This applies to the UK only
Everyday 1000s of people recieve sms from companies they never heard of them and each SMS recieved customers getting charge a premium charge of at least 1.50 pounds and some people don't even know about it. Sadly the telecoms companies knows everything but keeping it very quite because it generates millions a day believe it or not. i have seem a person who run up a bill for over 1000 pound in few days. Hopefully a new law is going to stop that from happening.

In the mean time here is what you need to do to stop all these legal scam. when you log in to the net and enter any competition make sure you read the terms and condition no matter how long and complicated it is. Remember nothing WHATSOEVER IS FREE. even if it says free entry etc...
if you are still a victim reply to that sms by typing the word Stop "it only works 1% of the time" the law says we should be able to get help in stoping them (wrong it never works) when you comaplain you would get a number to call and that number is 99% busy that is the bear minimum the telecom companies can do to stay legal. so call OFFCOM ASP and complain.

what happens is that you go on the net an dsay it says wanna free logo or want to win blah blah you say yes and enter your Mobile number then click on accept terms and conditions the next thing you end up getting free horoscopes or football news etc.. each one cost you 1.5 pounds and you want even remember who is sending it. you call mobile companies they would say sorry we can not stop people texing you.

I looked at some figures without saying more and saw a profit of millions from them all that goes to the fat asses oh I hate corporate greed

Yea thats happen to me i don't know how though i keep getting these text messages asking me to download ringtones, logos ect and then they send me a wap setting they are so annoying, only just found out a couple of months ago that they charging me £1.50 for them the buggers!. I tried texting stop back but i'm still getting them.

Call your network company and ask them for a number or address and phone that company if no luck insist on having your number changed free of charge or report them to Offcom.
