Calling home

Salam people,

Following on from Nadias thread, whats the cheapest way to call home from the UK?

We currently use phone cards that last for about half an hour, and the connection is crap... and forget about getting through at weekends!

What about them calling us from IAM? Is there a cheaper option available?

check this site for cheap calls from the UK if you have BTline and can go on Direct debit.
http://www.homecall.co.uk it works out 48p per minutes the quality s good. One warning though you come off the DD you would be automatcally charge a fee

heya all...i could have the answer to ur problem....
if u like to use cards that connect u to morocco with a very good connection then planet talk africa is the best.At the moment,where i live they sell for £3.50 for a £5 card.The time to a moroccan landline is 33 or 34 minutes.hope tht this can help u

dial this number from your house land line then dial your destination number (morocco) it will tell you how much you will be charged, am not sure how much this will cost you to call morocco I use this number to call Algeria for 2p a min and 10p a min for mobile so it should definitely be cheap to call morocco too.

Try http://www.telediscount.co.uk You can call morocco for 15p per min HOME and 18p for mobile. Phonecards are a tad cheaper but its handy if your stuck and got no phonecard! lol
You must have a landline number to call from though

There are many other countries to call which are pretty cheap.

Thanks all for the replies! I'm currently trying the Planet Talk cards, they're OK, but I guess I'm gonna have to re-install my landline! Blummin BT, hate em!
