Salam

After posting a story on the Islamic forum old memories of "Sadat" started to flow in front my eyes, shrines like Molay yakoub etc..... and after seing a french program about a Moroccan french woman who claimed she was healed by a showafa who has seen "Aysha Kandesha" a "famous Moroccan devil or spirit" and work under her commands that showafa had a hight ranking position in France in the 60s but later on gave up all that and moved to a remote village in Morocco and had thousands of idiots weepping at her door steps under the pretendance of seaking the heeling within Islamic banner. I could not help it but to ask you guys of any lunatic stories about those sick places and if any of you believe in that crap. as a muslim it is very clear to me that is a devil way of conning people into worshipping satan but sadly the old and misguided know nothing.
As a guy once commented about the Satanic church said these acts were in existance over 3000 years ago and satan make people believe in the miracles by making them sacrify animals usually black colour and even babies in hope ofr offering some miracles regadless of their status or education.

Black magic as a healer

It is amazing the influence, and extent of this practice of black magic, especially in islamic countrys. Only last summer an aunt of mine put her faith in one of these self proclaimed healers, against all recommendations. Not only did she pay her a fee, but was also asked to take along a chicken for the 'qualities in its blood' (really it was only so the lady could provide a sumptous meal!)or possible for something more sinister. In this instance it had no affect in fact only exaccerbating the condition. It concerns me the extent to which some people prefer to put their faith in these practices that have no regulatory control or systematic proof of success. Each to their own of course but i feel for those who chose this route.

I agree with you Sista. And the way that these beliefs are totally common place and you're thought of as being the weird one if you object to them!

This summer we were around meknes and my dad insisted on taking us to a shrine (marabout??!), I think it was Moulay Idriss?? I could be wrong. I was told to pray to him and ask him for forgiveness etc........isn't this pure biddah? We don't supplicate to anyone but Allah ta'ala!

I think black magic does exist but that these people are working with the Devil is that right?? We should therefore avoid these people at all costs.

As for going to Moulay this that & the other, I think that its ok to go & zorr as they have some religious significance. Pray etc. However, when people start kissing stones etc. & asking Moulay ?£$ to heal/forgive/grant them something, then its shirk. Like Nadia said, we pray to Allah alone.

Dont know if thats right, but thats what I think

Ghazala, good point. There's no harm in paying your respects or whatever, but that should be it. It's a dangerous line to cross

Any person who uses names and animals in any form of dua is a magician and he is committing a great sin for a muslim/ christians and jews it's pure shirk
and God would never accept them to heaven.
all shrines are forbidding in Islam, read my thread about the story of the shrine and see how easy to be fooled.
I understand that not everyone is a believer but those who are must know that associating Allah with anything is pure shirk.

[113:1] Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak.
[113:2] "From the evils among His creations.
[113:3] "From the evils of darkness as it falls.
[113:4] "From the evils of the troublemakers.
[113:5] "From the evils of the envious when they envy."
[64:11] Nothing happens to you except in accordance with GOD's will. Anyone who believes in GOD, He will guide his heart. GOD is fully aware of all things.
[2:102] "They pursued what the devils taught concerning Solomon's kingdom. Solomon, however, was not a disbeliever, but the devils were disbelievers. They taught the people sorcery, and that which was sent down through the two angels of Babel, Haroot and Maroot. These two did not divulge such knowledge without pointing out: "This is a test. You shall not abuse such knowledge." But the people used it in such evil schemes as the breaking up of marriages. They can never harm anyone against the will of GOD. They thus learn what hurts them, not what benefits them, and they know full well that whoever practices witchcraft will have no share in the Hereafter. Miserable indeed is what they sell their souls for, if they only knew."

SUBHANALLAH!!

praying to other than Allah is pure shirk, which as we all know is the only unforgivable sin so inchallah those people who find their loved ones engaged in this will try to correct them before it's too late.

also since anything that leads to haram is haram i think it is not even good to go to the graves to pray to Allah? i read some book of fatwa on the subject but now i can't remember it.

May Allah guide us all to the correct path inchallah!
