I often say to friends 'I think I have been to most Moroccan Restaurants in London', but they usually catch me out when they mention the name of a new Moroccan Restaurant...Naturally I luv Moroccan food, particularly when someone else cooks it...so far I have not come across anyone who can beat my mother's cooking, although some restaurants have been close!

I'll mention the names of some of the Moroccan Restaurants I have been to with stars from 1 to 5 (1 being lousy and 5 being excellent)

MoMos (off Regents St) - 3
Kasbah (Clapham) - 3
Couscous Cafe(off Queensway) - 4
Moroccan Tagine (Golborne Road) - 2
Casablanca (Queensway) - 1
Souk (St Martin's) - 3
One in Trocadero, but I can't remember the name - 2
One in Camden, but again, I can't remember the name - 0

I have been to others that have now closed down.

Share your experience of Moroccan Restaurants.

To be honest I've yet to come across a really good Moroccan restaurant that has made me wanna go back again.

MoMo - you should give up your search for a resto that beats your mum's cooking; you just can't beat the home made grub!

I agree the food isnt up to scratch usually, but thats probably because the restaurants are aimed at non-Moroccans.

The best food Ive tasted has been the sandwiches from the berraka in Ladbroke Grove. Yum!

Moroccan Take Away!

I am surprised why there are no Moroccan Take Aways in London. I am sure that Couscous Take Away business would take off! It is considered to be trendy food! I know that they do Couscous Take Aways in France, but I've yet to come across any in London.
