Open Letter to the President of the Sahrawi Republic

Mr President,

As you can read below in this blog, I am probably the first Moroccan who, from within Morocco, publicly denounces the annexation of Western Sahara by the Moroccan Regime without being a Sahrawi myself. I have always been in favor of the independence of Western Sahara and the return of its exiled government. I will personally support any action taken in favor of the independence of your country and I am confident that, sooner or later, international Law will rule and you will recover your independence. Please note that only the regime imposed on the Moroccans that is in favor of colonizing Western Sahara. The Moroccan people, who have always valued peace, openness and mutual cooperation, are most certainly against being lured into colonizing a neighboring country.

However, I read an online petition regarding about 408 Moroccan prisoners of war who are still detained in your prisons in Tindouf despite the end of armed conflict following the peace ...

They do hold thoses prisoners. BUT equally we hold nearly 500 of theirs and WE DENY having them. Surely a prisoner swap could be arranged?? It is inhuman to hold all of these people.

You are representing yourself, and not the moroccan opinion..
Here, we don't talk about sahara's anexation, but about recupration of OUR territory!
I think that u're an exeption, all, yes, I sad, all the moroccan people are supporting the moroccan position..

My friend, many Moroccans are able to THINK for themselves and recognise the argument of the Saharawis. We are not all TES people.
