human organs of patients coming from the camps near Tindouf (south-western Algeria) where Sahrawis (natives of the Moroccan Sahara) are held against their will by the Algeria-backed separatist movement "Polisario", witnesses said.
Organs were stolen from 600 patients in a Tindouf hospital, mainly children and women from Sahrawi camps. These people were declared dead by authorities of the hospital, according to the same sources. "We understand now why the Polisario talks about disappearances and about persons who went missing, unfairly accusing Morocco," an official from a Sahrawi association based in Laayoune (southern Morocco) told MAP. He said his organization will launch an appeal to the international community “to conduct a probe on this tragedy and put an end to the ordeal of our families who are sequestered in Tindouf in disregard of international law.” |

![]() Getting into numbers & discussions about which country is worse is pointless & obscures the real issue; i.e the situation for SAHRAWIS. Pharess - where did you get that info from? |
