Ever since the Bedouin youth named, Muhammed edh-Dhub, discovered the "Dead Sea Scrolls, it have beeb enveloped in a storm of secrecy, controversy and bitter conflict. What are your thoughts regarding the discovery and/or why it has taken more than fifty (50) years of research and very limited infomation.

Well some of them have been released, you can find translations of some of the books in any bookstore or amazon.com.
Supposedly part of the situation is that the papers are so old that they have fallen apart and experts must put them back together again (in the correct order, hard to do with some missing pieces). Bare in mind that they were buried in the first place, shrouded, for holy texts get the same respect as a human body. Lack of complete understanding of the languages are a factor as well due to natural lingiustic evolution. I know that the Vatican has a lot of them on lock down. They have released a few of them (i.e. 'Isaiah') for they do not show much variations to the current texts that are commonly believed as true. But yes, I think a lot of cats are just scared on what some of these papers say.

Talking Malik...

I heard the Yemeni Qur'an is just as controversial.

Controversy theories (regarding religion) will exist so long mankind is around and is willing to put his faith and logic to the test. But in many cases, Higher Criticisms are best left to the experts of the field - Theologians, Scholars and Historians, not lay people like you and myself.

When we present such debates, we are in fact, insulting
those who have studied such artifacts for years without end.
