You need to tell me a bit more about your Browser, settings, bandwidth also how you arrived at the conclusion that it doesn't work, remember you need Java JRE 1.5 or above (latest, recommended) also need to wait for the video to get buffered first, then click on the applet or the play button when it gets active.
sometimes a browser will flag it as active content, and the only active part in the applet is the save video function which is disabled in the example above, maybe I could bypass that by signing the applet, for now just unblock it.
Mozilla Firefox won't complain at all about running the applet.
The Server is called MediaFrame it does MPEG1 and MPEG4 streaming and it's in Java, both backend and frontend.
