I Made Some Changes

First thing I changed was the entrances to the right and left side bedrooms. I like to have brick columns on the right and left side of the entrance doors. The brick columns are 1 foot wide x 9 inches out from the wall. The back corridor entrance doors are the same. The doors are not recessed. They are even with the outer wall. They open into the bedrooms. against the side inner walls. There are round rubber light brown door stops on the side walls.
All the furniture in the back corridor , the furntitures are dark brown stain except the Mosque Benches which are brown stain. Brown stain is a little lighter than dark brown stain. The bulletin board display cases are Moroccan red/brown
All bedrooms in the right and left Palace wings are planked three feet high with floor and top moldings. The ceilings are planked and have moldings around the edges. The floors are brown stained hardwood. The planks and moldings are brown stained and all the bedroom furnitures are brown stained.
The entrance doors have 2 keyholes but the one that locks with the skeleton key are on the right doors in the left corridors and the left doors in the right side coridors. In the back corridors the keyhole for the lock is on the left side in the 1st and 2nd bedrooms and the right door in the 3rd and 4th bedrooms. The bathrooms have a turn lock on the inside of the bathroom. The turn lock is located inside the bathroom on the left inside door.
The children have white sheets and pillow cases. The extra sheets and pillow cases are stored on the shelf in the top of their closets. The left closet, the sheets are stored on the left side and the right closets, the sheets are stored on the right side of the shelf. The quilts are maroonish red. All the beds have off white crocheted dust ruffle.
The lamps on the children's dressers are the same as the lamps in the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th side bedrooms. The children's lamps have maroonish red glass shades. There are electrical outlet centered behind the children's dresser. The outlets are 1 1/2 feet up from the floor. The plugs are off white with antique brass metal plate cover.
There are a switch on the wall around the entrance wall. The switches are for the outlet behind the children's dresser. The switch is off white with antique brass metal plate cover.
The switches in the 1st and 2nd children's bedrooms, the switches are around the other side of the left entrance wall. The 3rd and 4th bedrooms, the switches are located around the right entrance wall.
The lamps on the credenza in the back corridor are the same as the lamps in the side center bedrooms. But the lamps have dark gold glass shades.
The carpets in the children's bedrooms are medium brown/off white/maroonish red/black design. The carpets are 5feet x 7 feet size.
The stained glass windows are 5 feet wide including the antique brass moldings. The windows are as wide as the dressers. There may be flowers on one of the trees in the stained glass windows.
The children's bedrooms are 8 feet high. The bathrooms in the wings have wood planked peaked ceiling. The planks in the bathroom ceilings are dark brown stain. The bathrooms ceilings are 10 feet high.

The climate control vents in the side center bedrooms are centered in the ceilings. These climate control vents are square shiny brass vents like the ones on the ceiling in the corridors.
The sheets and pillowcases in the 5 side bedrooms ar kept in the second closets on the top shelf. The 1st, 2nd and center bedrooms, the sheets and pillow cases are kept in the left second closet. The 4th and 5th bedrooms the sheets and pillow cases are kept in the right second closet. The bedrooms on the other side of the wing are opposite. The wing on the other side of the Palace are the same but opposite..
Next time the right and left wing bathrooms.

Some Incidentials/The Bathroom

All of the entrance doors and moldings to the bedrooms and the bathrooms are dark brown stain. All the bedroom and bathroom doors have antique brass metal plate and doorknobs. The children's doors are never locked. They are taught not to go into another person's room unless they are invited. The older girl's and adults may keep their doors closed in the day. After laundry is put away.
The younger children 's stained glass windows do not open. stain glass windows have outside storm windows. The stained glass windows have hidden, a spider, a bee, and an ant.
The younger girl's flashlights are white. The younger boy's flashlights are lime green. Their flashlights are disposable. They are about 4 inches long and wider than the other flashlights.
There is an inter-com located in the right corridor outside the lower level kitchen. The inter-com is on the left wall outside the entrance to the kitchen. The inter-com is a closed speaker system that connects with the exercise houses outside the Palace and the pool houses outside the Palace. The inter-com speakers are white with black buttons?
I changed the luggage. The Palace luggage will be kept in a room in the basement of the Meeting House. More about that another time. The closets in the Shoe Closet room where th luggage was kept will now have shelves for Mohamed's children's shoes. There are 7 foot long wall of shelves along the inside wall and 4 feet of shelves on the walls to the side of the entrance doors.

The bathroom is 20 feet long x 18 feet from front to back. The floor tiles are 2 inch x 2 inch light grey ceramic floor tiles. The upper walls are wallpapered with shiny silver wallpaper. The wall paper is also shiny. The ceilings are dark brown stain. The ceilings are peaked with the low part to the side walls vaulted up to the center of the rooms. There are a dark brown ceiling fan in each of the bathrooms. The ceiling fans fixtures are antique brass ornate.
The entrance doors open into the bathrooms. When you enter there is a wall to the right as high as the latrine stall. On the left side there is a brown stained Mosque Bench. The bench is up against the left side latrine wall. The walls are wallpapered. The floor moldings are tile edging. The lower walls are tiled with 4 inch x 4 inch light grey ceramic wall tiles. The wall paper is vinyl and is darker than the tiles.
Straight ahead there is an 8 foot long cabinet with a white marble double sink counter top. The sink has shiny brass faucets , pipes, shut offs and sink parts. The sink counter top has grey veins in the marble. The veins are light. The sink cabinet is grey stained wood. they are varnished with low lustre varnish. The sinks have three drawers on the right and left side and three drawers in the center. Between the drawers there are double doors centered under the sinks. The underneath of the sink are lined with matching wall paper and grey stained moldings mitered and around the inside edges of the sink. White powdered cleanser, a white soap dish with nylon scrubby and liquid hand soap in a bottle are kept under the sinks.
On the top of the sink counter are liquid hand soap. there are also white glass toothbrush holders along the center back of the sinks. There may also be white plastic soap dish with bar soap each side of the sinks.
There is a large round window above the sinks centered and another one above the entrance doors. The windows are the same as the one in the Attic Room. They have antique brass grids.
(I may change colors of the tiles and wallpaper.)

The Palestinian Girl Teen/The Bathrooms

I decided not to have mirrors in the bedrooms. The only mirrors in the bedrooms would be a round mirror with a metal stand. They would be kept in the drawer with the makeup and the mirrors would be two sided. The other side is magnifyed. There are no mirrors on the closet doors.
If Mohamed has young grand son he can sleep on one of the sofas and Maboto and Abdul can also be there with him. They can sleep with one of the boy's each end and the third boy at the corner of the longer section. The sofas will have sheets on them. The pillows can be put into a pillow case. I will crochet dark maroon colored afghan with medium brown border. The afghan will be kept on the back of the sofas and the children can use them for their blankets when they sleep on the sofas.
I decided we can not have another child. Mohamed's grand daughter needs to have a bedroom to stay in on the weekends and when her parents go out. I thought we could have another girl but it just will not work. 17 orphans will be enough to care for.

The bathroom I made changes. When you enter there is an inside wall to the left and the right. The walls are 4 feet long. The entrance doors open against the walls. The walls are 5 1/2 feet high. they are covered with taupe colored vinyl wallpaper. Taupe is between light brown and medium brown. The doorstops are at the inside bottom end of the doors. The door stops are antique brass with off white rubber stoppers. The door stops are screwed to the bottom inside of the doors at the front end. Alond the bottom of the walls are low lustre dark leaf green ceramic tiles. They match the walls tiles.
There are an oval mirror 1 1/2 feet wide x 3feet long attached to each of the doors on the inside back. There is an antique brass turn lock on the inside of the left door. The lock is about 1 1/2 feet above the doorknob.
The fgloors are 2 inch x 2 inch taupe colored ceramic floor tiles. The tile grout is also taupe.
Straight ahead are the two 4 feet wide sink cabinets. The cabinets are next to each other. They have ornate legs and the cabinets are up from the floor so they can be mopped under neath. The cabinets are ornate and dark brown stain. There are 4 rows of three drawers. A row along the right and left sides of the cabinets. The cabinets have white porcelin knobs for the drawers and doors and antique brass hindges for the doors. a bolt goes throught the knobs and drawers and inside there is a metal washer and nuts to fasten. The doors are the same design. the drawers are 9 inches wide. the center doors are 1 1/4 feet wide each. Under the sink is lined with taupe color vinyl wallpaper and there are dark brown moldings around the inside edges to prevent leaking water from going behind the back of the cabinets.
The sinks and counter top is all one piece. The top is white marble with taupe color veins(if possible).
The faucets, pipes shut offs and metal sink parts are shiny brass. The faucets have lever handles.
There is an ornate mirror centered above each of the sinks. The mirrors are 3 feet square with ornate shiny brass frames. Above the mirrors there are the lights. They are attached to an 8 feet long dark stained ornate board. There are 6 theatrical lights along the board. The light fixtures are round shiny brass. The covers are white round globes over the light bulbs. There are an electircla outlet under the center light fixtures. the second and fourth lights. The outlets plugs are dark brown and the metal plate covers are shiny brass.
The switch for the lights is on the right side of the right mirror a few inches. The switch is also dark brown with shiny brass metal plate cover.
The round window is above the lights centered. The round window is the same as the one in the Attic Room.
The wall behind the sink cabinets are tiled with the dark green tiles 3 1/2 feet up from the floor. The upper walls are wallpapered with taupe vinyl wallpaper. The ceramic wall tiles are 4 inch x 6 inch size. The sink counter top has a backsplash.
The bathroom ceilings are 10 feet high and also the peak. The ceiling fans have extension rod so they not interfere with the ceilings when they rotate..

The bedroom doorstops are the same as the ones in the bathrooms except they are attached to the inside floor moldings.
The younger children have whte flannel covered rubber sheets on their beds under the regular bed sheet. The sheets are fused with white flannel and they are water proof incase any of the children have an accident.

More About the Bathrooms

I think the bathrooms doorstops have to be light brown round rubber doorstops on the side walls. There is a sign on the left outside entrance door that says OCCUPIED. The sign is bronze plaque. When the doors are closed the bathroom is occupied and you should not enter. During the day men and boys should use the bathrooms out by the Mosque rooms, or in the Cafe or the lower level men's bathroom. When you take a shower in the wing bathrooms there is the antique brass turn lock inside the bathrooms. If the girl's want a shower, the first girl goes in and gets ready and into the shower. The second girl would wait to give her time and then she would go into the bathroom and lock the doors and get ready for her shower. This way they would have privacy. When the first girl is done and dressed she would let the second girl know she is leaving.
There will not be mirrors on the back of the bathroom entrance doors. The side walls are 4 feet and 4 inches wide.
The bathroom walls are 9 feet high at the right and left sides. The front and back walls have the peaks. The round windows are centered in the front and back peaks.
I changed the knobs on the sink cabinets. Instead there are antique brass drawer pulls and antique brass knobs on the doors. The hindges are also antique brass. Under the sinks there are three cans of white powder cleanser. Three bottles of liquid hand soap and the white plastic soap dish with the white nylon scrubby in the soap dish.Taupe vinyl wallpaper lines under the sink. There are dark brown moldings around the inside edges.
On the top of the sinks in the center there are five white porcelin toothbrush holders. They hold 6 brushes. The girl's have one, My older daughters family, my younger daughter's family, and Mohamed, myself and the younger children.
The drawers. The girl's each have a drawer. They have the ones on the right and left sides of the sink cabinets. In the center Mohamed has top drawer, I have top drawer. My older daughter has the two middle drawers for her and children and my younger daughter and husband have lower two drawers for them and the children.
The drawers have hair brush and comb, hair gel, deoderant if they want it in the drawer, the girl's and ladies may have rechargable dry/shower shaver. The men can have shaving equipment. To the right and left of the sink cabinet there is a two feet space and then the outside shower stall walls. There is a white rectangle rubber wastebasket between the sink cabinet and the right shower outside walls. The shower walls are 6 feet high. The outside walls are tiled with the dark leaf green ceramic tiles. dark leaf green is between medium green and dark green color. The ceramic tiles have matching green grout. There are a white ceramic towel bar on the outside shower walls. The towel bar holds two hand towels.
The top of the latrine stalls and the top of the shower stalls are 4 inches and they have white shiny 4 inch x 4 inch size tiles. The walls inside the latrine stalls and the shower stalls are also white shiny 4 inch x 4 inch ceramic tiles.
The mirrors above the sinks are 2 feet high x 3 feet long. The mirrors have ornate shiny brass frames.

More About Designing the Bathroom

First there are a few things to mention. I did not consider the width of the bedroom and bathroom walls. They are 9 inches wide. This means that 6 more feet must be added to the lenght of the side corridors and the back corridors. This includes the corridors and the outer window walls. The length will now be 90 feet long.
Any closets or cabinets that are 7 feet high would be 6 1/2 feet high so they can fit through the enetrance doors. Hutches and 2 piece cabinets can still be 7 feet high because they are 2 piece and screwed together.
The beds in the center side bedrooms are queen size beds with queen size sheets, pillowcases and pillows.
In the bathrooms the sink counter top has a backsplash. There also are another toothbrush holder for Amaraa, Neeta, Abdul, Maboto and the Haitian boy. The toothbrush holders are curved at the ends where there are three holes for the toothbrushes each side. The bottom of the holder is rectangle with curved ends. There is a rim around the bottom part. The holder has section 2 inches high in the front and back. The center is round and open to hold toothpaste.
The outer wall of the showers is located 1 feet 8 inches from the sink cabinet. The walls come out from the back wall 3 feet 10 inches. They are covered with leaf green low lustre ceramic tiles. Matching 4 inch x 4 inch tiles go around the top of the walls of the shower stalls and the latrine stalls. The inside of the shower stalls is 4 feet from the side wall and 3 1/2 feet out from the back wall. The inside of the showe stalls is tiled with shiny white 4 inch x 4 inch ceramic tiles. The faucets and round turn handel to turn the water to shower are shiny brass fixtures. The faucets re located on the far wall of the shower which would be the side wall of the bathroom. The shower has a 2 1/2 entrance with a taupe colored heavy shower curtain. The front side of the shower is where the opening is. The opening goes from 1 1/2 feet from the side wall. The front is 4 feet wide with extra 4 inches for the end wall. The curtain rod starts 1 1/2 feet from the side wall to the end wall. The rod is shiny brass. The curtain has brass hooks at the top. Then there is a foot of crocheted cord and then the vinyl taupe curtain. The other shower stall is the same but opposite. The bathroom on the other side of the Palace is mirror opposite.
The front of the shower walls are also covered with dark green leaf colored ceramic tiles.
The base of the shower stalls are white and ornate. The drain is shiny brass.
There are dark brown ornate moldings around the edges of the planked ceilings. They are mitered where necessary.
When you enter the bathroom the latrine stalls are to the right and the left. To the left when you enter there is one large latrine stall. The front wall is 7 feet long including the wall. The latrine is also 4 feet wide and 4 inches for the outside front wall. The front wall is tiled with leaf green ceramic tiles. The entrance door is located 2 feet from the front corner. The entrance door is 3 feet wide. There is extra three feet to the side wall. The inside of the latrine stall is 4 feet wide and 6 feet 8 inches from end to end. The latrine is at the side wall of the bathroom. The walls behind the latrines are tiled with leaf green ceramic tiles. The rest of the latrine walls are shiny white ceramic tiles. The latrines are the same design as the ones in the bathrooms in the Main part of the Palace. They have shiny brass pipes and fixtures. They are white porcelin.
The entrance doors are dark brown wood doors. There are dark brown wood frames for the doors. The hinges are antique brass. The frames have a bar acroos the top. The doors are 4 feet high. This is the bathroom for Amaraa, Neeta, Abdul and Maboto. There is a brown stained Mosque Bench inside this latrine stall at the left end so the children can sit there. There may be a potty chair against the wall if needed.

Designing the bathroom continued

Before the bathroom. The younger children have their comb and brush in their top drawer of their dresser. They each have a drawer because there are two top drawers. They have their wood money box, their flashlights and the comb and brush.
The extra sheets for when they sleep on the sofas in the TV Sitting Rooms, the sheets are kept in the top of the clothes closets on the top shelf. This is in the first children's bedroom and the fourth children's bedrooms. Each closet has 2 extra sheets and 4 extra pillowcases stored on the opposite side from their bedroom sheets. The sheets and pillowcases are white. The extra sheets are flat twin size sheets.
There are 2 extra afghan's for anyone sleeping on the chair and ottoman. The afghans are off white with brown border. I will have to make these afghans too. The afghans are kept in the bottom dresser drawers in the extra 4 th bedroom where Mohamed's grand daughter stays on the week ends and when her parents are out.
Three times a week the younger children have French and Arabic lessons. Mohamed's granddaughter will teach them. The lessons will be in the TV Sitting Room after dinner. Then after that they can have some free time.
The end tables in the TV Sittings rooms, the end tables have a drawer the front. No shelf underneath.
Back to the bathrooms. The turn door lock is antique brass. All door hindges are antique brass.
The shower stall is 6 1/2 feet high. Inside the stall, there is a white ceramic towel bar centered on the back wall of the shower for the wash cloth.
Along the front under the faucet knobs there is a 4 inch wide shelf. The 4 inch extends to the floor of the shower. On the shelf is where the bottles of shampoo and conditioner are kept and also the white plastic soap dish with the bar soap.
The shower head is hand held. It connects to the water supply pipe. It has a metal flex hose. The shower head is round and white plastic with a handel. The shower connections, hose and the pipe from the wall are all shiny brass. It connects to the pipe with a bracket. It is only used for rinsing the shower walls when they are cleaned. The shower head stays stationary for showers.
The walls of the latrine stalls are 5 1/2 feet high. The inside of the latrine sare white shiny 4 inch x 4 inch ceramic tiles. Including the wall behind the latrines. The Mosque Bench in the left latrine stall is brown stained and 1 1/2 feet wide from the wall.
The green dark leaf color ceramic tiles are 6 inch x 8 inch size.
The doors to the latrine stalls and the frames are wood. They are painted semi-gloss taupe paint. The doors have a slide bolt lock. The hardware is shiny brass including the handels. The latrines are the same as the ones in the Mosque area men's and women's bathroom.
The liquid hand soap dispenser and the white plastic soap dish with bar soap are kept to the back right of the right sink and the back left of the left sink. The sink counter top has a backsplash.
There are climate control vents are centered on the side walls above the latrines. They are centered with the latrine stall. The climate control vents are shiny brass. They are about one foot down from the top of the wall.
The door hardware and the sink cabinet hardware are antique brass.
The inside door stops are round light brown rubber walls stops. They stick to the walls lined up with the doorknobs.
Centered between the entrance doors and the sink cabinet. There is a 5 foot x 1 1/2 foot bench to put your clothes. The bench is dark brown stained and ornate. The right and left ends are curled up and toward the centeer of the bench.
The walls between the latrine stalls and the shower stalls are 9 feet 10 inches wide. The side walls behind the bathtubs are tiled with green leaf colored ceramic tiles. The tiles go up 3 1/2 feet from the floor. The upper walls are wallpapered with taupe color vinyl wallpaper.
The bathtubs are white cast iron claw feet bathtubs. They are some oval. The faucets are located on the back center. They are shiny brass and ornate. The hot and cold and the drain pipes are shiny brass and ornate. The drain is under the back center of the tub and the hot cold supplies come up from the floor centered outside the back cemter of the bathtubs. Mohamed can decide tubs. Maybe he would want something different. For now they are white ornate.
White powder cleanser cleans bathtubs and also latrines inside with a brush. Works good and is disinfectant.

More About the Bathrooms/The Pakastani Girl Teen

The bathtubs are 4 1/2 feet long and 3 1/2 feet wide. They are 1 foot out from the walls.
The shower stalls are 74 inches high. This way the green leaf ceramic tiles will come out even because they are 6 inches x 8 inches. There will be a 2 inch border around all the tiles including the white shiny tiles in the showers and latrine stalls. The 2 inch borders are also dark leaf green color tiles. The borders have embossed flowers.
The latrine stalls better be higher in case someone is tall. They would also be 74 inches high.
There is are carpets centered in the bathrooms. The carpets are 8 feet x 10 feet size. They are dark green/off white/medium brown design. The dark brown stained bench is centered on the carpets. The bench is 2 feet wide x 5 feet long with curled ends.
To the right of the entrance are 2 more latrine stalls. They are 38 inches wide. They like the other stall but they are et up from the front wall outward. First there is the 4 foot wide wall. Then there are the entrance door to the latrine stall. The doors are 30 inches wide with 2 inch frame each side. The inside of the stalls are 38 inches wide. There is another wall between the first and second stall. The first stall there in additional 4 inches on the left side of the door plus the wall. This means there is an outsdie wall of 8 inches long. All latrine and shower walls are four inches wide. Next there is the second latrine door the same as the first. Finally by the far wall there is another 4 inch outside wall. So there is wall, door and frame, eight inches between stalls, second door and frame and finally another four inch front wall. The outside tiles are leaf green Some are eight inches and some are four inches.
The latrine doors are taupe colored metal doors and frames.with shiny brass hardware.
The entrance doors have handels on the right side and the doors open outward. The left latrine the door pens from the left outward.
I think we can have Pakastani girl teen in the extra bedroom. I am really sad about the floods. If we can put the children at the Palace, we would.
If grand children have to come to this wing we will have Maboto, Abdul and Mohamed's grandson sleep on the sofas in the TV Sitting rooms. Also My grand son and the Hatian boy will sleep on the sofas in the other TV Sitting Room. We will make them a bed on the Sofas. The younger children have 2 pillows each in their rooms so if we need extra we will use them. The off white afghans with the brown trim will be kept in the bottom dresser drawer in the 1 st bedroom. This is where my 2 year old granddaughters stay. The younger children's dressers hav three lower drawers and the 2 top drawers .
If there are other grandchildren they can sleep in Maboto, Abdul, the Hatian boy and my grandson's rooms. They will have to bring their clothes from the other side of the Palace and keep them on the Mosque Benches in the corridor. This includes Mohamed's granddaughter. The children have their own nice rooms on the other side of the Palace. This is just for weekends and when their parents are out.
We need to have 5 wood folding clothes racks in the corridor between the credenza and tfirst flower pots. After showers people of the wing will have a place on the racks for their towels and washclothes to dry. They can use the towels and wash clothes for 3 or 4 days and then they will be washed. The wings have white towels and the boys have off white towels. This way the towels can be bleached. I think we have to do this.
Those sweaty little kids.
