The Cafe

There are a few things before the cafe. Around the corners from the right and left side corridors there is a 1 1/2 foot wide column at the front corner of the corridor. After the corner columns there is 6 1/2 feet of brick wall and then there is another 1 1/2 foot column before where the 2 feet Cafe extension starts. There is an entrance door to the refrigeration unit next to the left corner column. There is a square shiny brass climate control vent located center ceiling and the 6 1/2 foot wall. Both sides are the same except for the entrance door to the refrigeration unit.
The cradenzas are brown stain with gold handpainted design. Inside the shoe closet the three feet high cabinets have the bottom section and three shelves for shoes. The five foot high cabinets have the bottom section and four shelves for shoes.

The Cafe. The bathroom is located at the front left of the Cafe. This is left of the kitchen door up front. The floors of the Cafe and the bathroom are medium brown tiles with gold specks. The tiles are shiny. The walls odf the bathroom are planked with brown stain wood with ornate upper and floor moldings. The ceiling is also brown stain planked. The upper walls are papered with medium brown vinyl wallpaper with dark wine colored flowers. The flowers are about 1 inch size. The latrine is located toward the back right side wall in a 4 feet x 4 feet area and the sink is located at the front far right wall in the front 4 feet x 4 feet area. The latrine is sensor with shiny brass pipes. The latrine and the sink are white porcelin. The sink is a wall sink and also has shiny brass faucet, pipes, shutoffs and supply lines. The sink is 1 1/2 feet wide. There is an oval beveled mirror above the sink. the mirror has shiny brass frame. There is a light fixture above the mirror on the wall. The light fixture is shiny brass with light wine colored glass shades. The light switch is located on the wall to the right of the bathroom entrance door. The switch is dark brown and the metal cover is shiny brass.
There ia a brown stained hutch against the wall past the door opening. The door is open and the hutch is against the wall. The hutch has toilet paper in the 2 bottom center drawers. In the right storage area there is liquid hand soap bottles. In the left storage section there is powdered bleach cleanser. There are paper towels in the hutch top right and left storage sections.
The shiny brass paper towel holder is located on the wall to the right side of the sink mirror. There is a white rubber waste can for paper towels if you prefere to use them. There is an electric hand dryer on the wall. About 7 feet inside the bathroom.
The bathroom door has an antique brass door knob that has a turn lock from the inside of the bathroom.
This is the Cafe bathroom.

Some Changes with the Cafe Bathroom/The Cafe

I decided that the upper walls of the Cafe bathroom should be dark green like the kitchen ceramic tiles. the upper wallpaper also has dark wine colored flowers about 1 inch size. There is a sink cabinet and the cabinet is three feet wide. The cabinet is brown stained wood cabinet. The counter top is dark brown/Moroccan red/brown granite counter like the counters in the kitchen. There is a shiny brass soap dispensor on the wall above the sink backsplash. The soap dispensor is on the wall on the right side above the sink.
There is dark green vinyl wallpaper lining the sink cabinet and there are brown stained mitered moldings around the inside edges of the cabinet. The soap refill bottles are kept under the sink along with white powdered bleach cleanser and toilet cleaner. There is a wine colored rubber soap dish kept under the sink which holds nylon scrubbie for cleaning the sink.
The electric hand dryer is shiny brass. There is a wine colored rubber waste trash can by the back wall between the hutch and the latrine. The waste can is semi-circle and the flat side is against the wall. The toilet bowl brush and holder is kept in the back corner to the left of the sink cabinet.
The paper towels are kept in the right and left storage sections of the huch. The center three drawers hold toilet paper.
There is a blue and white Delft vase that my mother gave me when she returned from her trip to Holland. The vase is kept in the center shelf and there are artificial purple violets with green stems in the vase. There is a crystal bowl with a 5 inch diameter wine colored candle. This is kept on the base top in the center. The candle does not get lit. There is a crystal Biscuit barrel in the right and left corners of the top of the hutch base.
The lower walls are brown stained planked as well as the ceiling.
I decided not to have the entrance door to the refrigeration unit outside in the front corridor. Instead the dorr is located on the right side of the unit. The unit and bathroom are 8 feet x 10 feet size. The refriunit is stainless steel. There is the entrance door and then there are three 2 1/2 wide double doors to the refrigration shelves. The doors to each section are 1 feet 2inches wide.
The floor tiles are medium brown which is dark and goes with the brown stain planking and furniture. This includes the Cafe floors, the bathroom floor and the refrigeration unit floor. The compressor for the refrigeration unit is located under the bottom inside of the unit. Inside there is the bottom and there are three additional shelves. More about the refrigeration unit after the Cafe.

The library changed their computer program and now instead of 1 hour you only get 30 minutes. If there are empty computers they let you have additional ten minutes as long as there are still empty computers. This is why the pages have been shorter than they use to be.

The Cafe is also planked brown stain three feet high with ornate floor and upper moldings.. The upper walls are wallpapered dark green vinyl wall paper. The ceiling of the Cafe is medium brown ornate suspended ceiling. The entrance doors to the Cafe from the kitchen are Moroccan red/brown. The Cafe side the moldings are brown stain. The double doors are 2 1/2 feet wide. The doors have 12 inch x 12 inch glass window in the upper part of the door. The doors to the shoe closet also have clear glass window in the upper part of the doors.
Next time decorating the Cafe.

Redesigning the Bathroom/Decorating the Cafe

I decided that the wallpaper in the bathroom should be dark wine color vinyl wallpaper. The paper has three inch wide wine colored stripe, then there is a 1/4 inch wide dark green stripe and next there is a row of 1 inch size white flowers with dark green leaves and then another 1/4 inch dark green stripe. This is how thw wallpaper continues.
The granite sink counter is dark wine color and white swirl granite. The light fixture is located in the center of the ceiling. The fixture is antique brass round with cutouts in it for the light to shine through. The switch plate is also antique brass.
There is wine/dark green/white pot purri in the crystal barrels in the right and left corners of the hutch base top. The biscuit barrels are embossed. There is a band around with etched flowers. The band around the base is scallopped. The lid fits into the top of the barrel and also is embossed and there is a round crystal knob on the top of the barrel. The cut crystal bowl my mother bought for me when we were at the flea market on Saturday morning. My daughters were also with us. My mother has been gone for quite a long time now.
The semi-circle waste trash can is dark green like the tiles in the kitchen.
There are brick tiles around the edges of the front corridor, the right and left side corridors and the back corridor. The brick tiles come out long way from the walls. There are brick tiles along the lower part of the plaster walls of the corriodrs and the stucco columns. The brick tile molding go along the walls long ways.

The cafe: The entrance doors to the Cafe from the kitchen are 5 feet wide double doors. There is a brown stained wood booth to the right and left of the doors. These first booths are 5 feet wide and 4 feet deep. In the right and left corners there are another booth. The corner booths are 7 feet square. The back corner is triangle cut with a wood shelf. Around the corner there is another 5 foot x 4 foot booth. There is a diagonal entrance to the 7 feet x 7 feet booth. the side walls are 12 1/2 feet long. The back wall is 32 feet long and the corner booth and the 5 feet booth take up 12 feet each side of the door from the kitchen. This means there is 1 /2 feet each side of the kitchen door.
There is an antique brass half bowl sconce centered on the inside wall of the booths. The 7 foot wide booth has 2 sconces because it is located in the corner. The antique brass half bowl sconces are mosaic sconces with maroonish red/ gold/wine colored stain glass mosaics.
The brown stained planking is 3 1/2 feet high with ornate floor and top moldings. The upper walls are dark green vinyl wallpaper. The Cafe ceiling is 9 feet high. The bathroom and refrigeration unit ceilings are 8 feet high

More About the Cafe

I decided that there should not be a step up to the Cafe and the other rooms in the 60feet x 65 feet center area of the lower level. We have enough steps.
The front extension is an extra 2 feet x 37 feet size. The Cafe entrance doors are two three feet wide double doors. They are antique brass with a push rail to go out. There is glass windows in the upper and lower sections of the doors. There is 6 inches either side of the doors. The doors are recessed into the Cafe 3 1/2 feet. There are two booths either side of the doors. The booths are brown stain wood. They are 4 feet deep x 5 feet wide. All of the booths have a dark brown vinyl cushion on the seats. The booths by the doors extend 6 inches into the Cafe.
At the end of the last booths there are a cabinet that fits into the area between the end booths and the wall at the end of the 37 feet x 2 feet extension. The cabinets fit in nicely. The cabinets are 5 feet wide. They have two double doors in the center and another door at the right and left sides. This makes four front doors to the cabinets. The end sections do not have a helf inside but the center section has one shelf. There also are two 1 1/4 feet drawers in the top of the center sections. The right cabinet the drawers have knives, forks and spoons. There are napkins in the left side section. There are cereal boxes in the right side section. The juice glasses are kept on the upper shelf.
The left cabinet has tea and sugar on the upper shelf and coffee in the lower section. The coffee filters for the coffe urn are kept in the left section. There are also napkins in the right section. I do not have anything to keep in the drawers at this time.
There is a round window above the booths by the doors. The windows are on the wall around the corner from the entrance doors. The windows have antique brass grill sectioned 4 x 4 inch sections of window. There are three front windows each side of the entroors. They are centered above the front booths and the cabinets. The windows are arced with a stain glass panel at the top above the 3 x 3 feet windows. The center windows are 3 1/2 feet x 3 1/2 feet size. The outer windows have stainglass piture of men on camels in the desert with blue sky. They are headed toward the center and that window is of the fortress in Morocco.(I think) Some kind of stain glass like that. Mohamed would decide the design. Something Moroccan.
There ia another cabinet against the wall to the right of the entrance door to the bathroom. The cabinet may be stainless steel and it is 4 feet wide x 7 feet high. This is where the coffe machine is located. It is like coffee machines in McDonald's. The machine is located to the right of the base top. Toward the center there is the area where the coffee cups are kept. They come out from the kitchen on trays and they set in the center where they rest on springs. Several trays can go down onto the springs. The coffe saucers also rest on springs and come up as used. There is also a rosection for teaspoons. In fact there are two round sections for the spoons. The spoon holders are located between the coffee machine and the coffee cup storage section/ This coffee machine is hooked up to water supply and there is also drain pipes for cleaning the pot. The coffee machine has running water for rinsing the pots and also for tea. This is a rough idea of where the coffee is made. The brush for cleaning the machine and extra pots are kept in the storage area in the upper part of the stainless stell cabinet.

The Cafe continued

I decided that the booths in the corners should have Moroccan red/brown round tables. The cabinet with the coffe machine should also be Moroccanred/brown. The coffee cabinet is 5 feet long x 2 feet wide. There are two doors under the right side where the coffee machine is located. Next to the machine toward the left is the round stainless steel spoon container and the spring well for the coffee cup saucers. The pipes under the coffee machine go down to the basement below the Cafe. There are two hot plates above the machine to keep pots of coffe hot and there also are pots at the lower part of the machine for fresh brewed coffee. There is a spicket for hot water for tea and to rinse the coffee pots. There is a drain in the front of the machine for used water.
The cabinet counter top is dark brown formica counter top. The same kind of counter is on the top of the cabinets of the front booths. There is a cabinet above the coffe cup spring well for extra coffee pots and the brush for cleaning the machine. The coffee pots are stainless steel.
There are antique brass mosaic laterns hanging above the front booths centered with the windows. There are also antique brass mosaic laterns hanging above the round tables of the corner booths. The mosaics of the lanterns are gold/maroonish red/wine color stain glass. The lanterns are Moroccan and ornate. Mohamed would decide.
There is a round Moroccan red/brown pedestal table centered in the Cafe. The table is 5 feet diameter. There are 5 chairs around the table. The chairs are like the chairs in the Mosque Room but they are brown stained wood. The chairs have dark brown vinyl covered seats. Sometimes the table is used to have food set up on it so that people can serve themselves. Sometimes people sit at the table.
The boys usually sit at the front two right booths. The girls like one of the corner booths.
The sink counter in the bathroom is dark brown granite.
The drawers in the right and left front cabinets are located top right and left sides of the cabinet above the storage sections. The drawers and doors at the sides are 1 1/4 wide. The center sections are also 1 1/4 feet wide and the doors are 12 inches wide. There are juice glasses in the bottom section and the top section of the right cabinet. There are extra teaspoons in the drawers of the left front cabinet. There are two dividers in the drawers. The right drawer of the cabinet near the coffe station contains serving utensils.
The front windows are 3 feet x 3 feet and are arced. The arced panels above the windows are stained glass. The center windows are 3 1/2 feet x 3 1/2 feet size with arced stain glass panel. I do not know if the grapes and grape leaves go with the window stain glass panels. That would have to be decided. The stain glass window above the entrance doors continues across the six inch side walls. The panel definitely says Cafe with sun gold letters and script writing. For now thw wine colored grapes and green grape leaves stay. I think the combination will look alright.
Next time the refrigeration unit.

Finishing the Cafe

I decided that the upper walls of the Cafe are wallpapered maroon vinyl wallpaper. The bathroom wallpaper also has a maroon background instead of wine color.
The antique brass lanterns and half bowl wall sconces have maroonish red glass mosaics.
The center pedestal table is brown stain wood. The tables of the corner booths are also pedestal tables. The corner booths sit five people in the booths and a sixth at the front side of the tables.
Instead of the coffee machine there is a stainless steel coffee urn. The outlet is located underneath inside the cabinet. There are four extra coffee pots stored under the urn in the cabinet. There is a double hot plate on top of the left end cabinet. There is an outlet centered 1 1/2 feet up from the floor behind the end cabinets. The double hot plate heats 2 pots of coffee. There also is a rectangle basket on the right side of the cabinet where the hot plate is located. The basket has tea bags and hot cocoa packets in the basket.
There are 7 trays on the upper shelf of the center of the cabinets. There are boxes of teabags each side of the trays. There are also 7 trays on the upper shelf of the right side cabinet with boxes of hot cocoa each side of the trays. The juice glasses are kept in the lower section of the right cabinet.
There is another outlet 1 1/2 feet up from the floor on the right wall centered from the refrigeration unit. The switches for the lights is on the wall to the right of the entrance doors from the kitchen. The right switch controls the right side lights and the left switch controls the left side lights. The switches and plugs are dark brown and the metal plate covers are antique brass.
Stainless steel pans with chunks of cheeses are kept on the third shelf of the center section of the refrigeration unit. Behind the refrigeration unit is the wall. On the other side of the wall there is a refrigerated room. The room is 6 feet wide x 10 feet long. The entrance door is in the outside front corridor. The door is dark brown metal door with 6 inch x 2 1/2 feet clear glass window panel. Inside the refrigerated room there is a brown stain wood unit with bins in parts and shleves in the upper parts. Brocolli, cauliflower, different kinds of peppers, carrots are kept in the lower bins. Fruit is kept in stainless steel pans on the upper shelves. This unit is on the far wall when you enter the refrigerated room.
There is a stainless steel shelf unit to the right of the entrance door to the room. This shelf unit has milk and juices kept on it. Ice cream is kept in one of the refrigerators in the kitchen. The right side refrigerator.
The brown stained wood unit is 5 feet wide x 7 feet high and 1 1/2 feet deep. The stainless steel shelves are 2 1/2 feet wide x 5 feet high. The entrance door is three feet wide. The door frame is also dark brown metal. The outside moldings are brown stain wood.
