Mosque Room Continued

The beams of the ceiling are ornate. They are not mitered instead there is a square corner block where they meet which may be carved. An extenisions of the beams run from the square along the sides of the window skylights to the brick wall partitions. There are three speakers in the inside of the frontbeam in the center. The three indirect lights aimed at the alter below are on the opposite side of the beam. The cnter speaker faces straight ahead and the side ones are angled to the sides. The wires probably run inside the beams to the extension that runs to the partiition closest to the music room below. The music room would have a circuit breaker panels of switches for the lights and electric plugs.
I decided that the marble stands, the alter table, the fountain sink and the bird cage stand should be white marble so the color does not clash with the colorful Moroccan tiles in the walk thru and fireplace.
The dark organ faces toward the people in the Mosque and there is a wood stand to hold music for the singer in the front of the organ. There is a microphone by the stand. There is a cble with the wires from the organ that has the wires that go to the pipes. They must run inside the brick wall under the pipes. there are square holes in the brick pattern for the speakers.
The walk thru is about 43 feet long. there are three foot columnc and the windows are about seven feet wide. There are five columns and four windows. They are abstract. the windos are about 6 feet high and the white valance above them fits like puzzle pieces. The center window comes to a triangle point. The valances match the three foot ceiling above. The valances are a bout a foot anf half in height and they are thick. About eight inches thick.
Instead of two rectangle carpets at the front there would be a runner from one side of the Mosque to the other. The runner would follow the even edge of the semi cicle carpet that follows the curve of the dark oak banches.
The brass candle holders on the white marble stands on the sides of the statues of the Muslim women have a round glass lamp to fit over the candle. The statues are life size and they would be on a base so they would not be top heavy.
There are a plug on each side of the alter platform in the outside of the bottom brick near the walls. There also are plug sockets behind the outer white marble stand by the staties. There ia a brick ledge on the floor which the clear glass windows with the panels rest on. The center panel is four feet wide and comes to a triangle point at the top. The statues would be in front of these panels. They are white stucco with a border of the brown bricks.
The entrance: When you enter there is a brick wall on each side of the entranceway about ten feet wide. The wall turns at the end and this wall has the six foot two part window that meets at the point at the top. The windows are made of two panels. Then the wall turns again and is about eight feet wide. this wall is white stucco with one dark brown metal light fixture. The light fixture is like a 10 inch bowl cut in half anf the cut part would be at the wall. The outer part is rounded lik the bowl. this is about five inches high and comes to a gentle point at the bottom in the center. The light fixtures are like this in this part of the Mosque.
The ceiling in the right angle area by the windows are eight feet high and turn at the end of the eight feet into the corridors. There are a small tree on each side by these windows in a dark green flower pot with a tray.
The ceiling in the entranceway are two stories high. There are two foot wide window panels resting from the eight foot high ceiling by the corridor entrances to the ceiling in the entranceway. At the top there are square two foot wide panels at the base of the roof. These panels go from the brick side walls when you enter to the Mosque wall. It is dramatic. The ceiling has a semicircle cutout that runs the length of the entranceway. The clear glass window in the cutout in the Mosque also fits into to this cutout an the other side of the glass walls where the enterance doors to the Mosque are. the stain glass window with the Crescent and Star also fits into this cutout. The ceinling pesk is rounded not peaked. From the edge of the cutout on either side is a rectangle panel the length of the entranceway made of textured ceiling material. These panels are between the glass ceiling windows at the edge of the roof to the rounded cutout. The stain glass window and cutout are pretty large.
The window panel in the Metal doors are on the side where the brass push plate is or the brass plate with the door pull. The windows on the metal doors are about five inches wide and three feet long.
There is a statue of a life size Mujahadeen by the brick wall on either side of the inside entrance doors to the Mosque Room. The statues are about one foot from the doors against the brick walls.

More designing and decorating

The white wall by the window in the entranceway is eight feet long . The window has a lamenated sill and the window is about one and half foot from the floor. It would be best to have a hibiscus by these windows because they bloom. There should be a tree in the center of the entranceway in a large off whitew porcelin pot. No table. There is a plug near the windows on the white walls. The plugs are white with brass switch covers. There is a painting on each of the white walls centered between the plant and the end of the walls. The painting has a dark gold frame. There are also a painting hanging above the ornate coat closets on the side brick walls. The paintings are fairly large and have dark gold frames. They are not wider than the coat closets.
The rectangle textured ceiling panels have a few indirect lights in them.
There are ten clear glass window panels high on the side walls with rectangle panels that slope up into the roof. The panels along the wall are two x ten feet in size with dark metal frames for the windows. The entranceway is 35 x 27 feet in size and the vestibule is five feet wide.
The wheel chair ramps outside have a two foot high brick wall with a six inch tube railing on either side.
The three foot high ceiling over the walk thrus and the valances over the stain glass windows are white laminated. You would not have to paint them. The large painting hangs above the fireplace and above the painting in the semi circle cutout would be a gold Crescent and Star on the wall in front of the Mosque. The cutouts would have to be planked longways so they do not conflict with the Moroccan ceiling motif.
The Hutches are located between the center white stucco panels under the libraries between the center brick columns. The hutches are stained dark. They have a base with three drawers in the center. a door on each side for a storage area with a shelf and three smaller drawers along the top. The hutch top sets on the base and there is a indent for resting plates. The next shelf is in the middle between two doors with storage area. The shelf in the middle has an indent for plate to rest but we will keep Excalibur in the center shelf. There is a low rail along this shelf. The top shelf has indents for plates also and thre are ornate molding around the top. There could be a crystal dragon on the center shelf of the hutch across the way. If we put plates on the hutches, they could be Arab Firy Tales or Famous Mosques of the Arab world. There is a plug behind each of the hutches.
The Palace must be insulated to help with the heat. I do not think there is furnance but there may be air conditioning with solar power.
The library balconies ceilings are planked and the planks run longways.
The wood chairs in the Mosque Room with the maroonish red cloth seats are light wood stained white. The white stain shows a little. The high back chair on the alter platform is also light wood stained white. This is best if you could see them. There should be eight rows of dark oak benches that are set up with a curve on the dark hardwood floor. The benches probably should be bolted to the floor so they do not move or scratch the floors.
The fireplace platform is not as wide as the alter platfrom. About one and half foot on each side. The Moroccan Flag could be on the left side of the platform in this one and half foot space. Then is would be very visible to people in the Mosque.

(Originally I pretended the Palace was in America but that would be silly and inappropriate.)

Corridors and Entranceway

First some things I forgot. There are a rectangle mat in between each of the entrance doors. The mats are strips of rubber connected with strong string or wires. The inner doors has clear glass panels that fit over the triangle double doors. There are four foot columns between the doors and at the sides. Inside is the same. The doors to the Mosque Room have columns a little narrower than the entrance doors.
I decided that we should not have the paintings over the ornate coat closet. The brick walls are nice. We won't have the tree either. It is too big and blocks the view of the Mosque Room. We will keep the dark wood round pedistal table with the off white porcelin flower pot with the Chinese Evergreen in it. This is a really nice plant.
The wall above the interior entrance doors is brick and goes up to the round stain glass window with the Crescent and Star in it.
The library balconey ceilings are planked from the peak and sloped down to the side walls. The four dragon painting on each library are similar sets but the are hung so that the similar painting is on the opposite wall in the other library across the way.
The Mosque plates on the hutches are the same on each one but they are arranged so that they go from left to right on each hutch. This will make them opposites. There are extra candles in the top drawers of the the three larger drawers of the hutches. The candels are off white vanilla, cinamin and pine scent red.
The Corridors. They are to the left and right of the entranceway. The columns at the edge of the white stucco wall are angled with bricks along the sides. There is a dark brown light fixture on each of the columns. The corridor angles so that it crosses the outside diagonal corner of the Mosque Room. The corridor has five stain glass windows with column in between each one and at the ends. The windows are seven feet with three feet columns. There is a window seat between each of the columns in front of the stain glass windows. More women would be able to attend prayers here and hear the Imam.
More about corridors next time.

The Building, Finishing the Mosque Room & Corridors

The Mosque room is about 60 x 60 feet square with diagonal corners. Each side of the Mosque Room has an extension that goes out twenty seven feet in the entranceway and twenty five feet out at the sides and back extensions. There are rooms in the extensions. On each side of the side and back extensions there is an alcove about 6 x6 feet square. There may be other doors in the alcove and each alcove has a dark metal exit door which is rectangle and comes to a triangle top where the doors meet. The entrance way does not have alcoves, they have the right angle window and white wall in place of the alcoves.
The corridors run from the right angle in the entranceway to the first alcove. The other corridor is the same but opposite. The walk thru runs from the side alcoves to the back alcove.
I designed the alcove exits to lead to the bedroom wings of the Palace. The wings are looped. The back wing has the moat around it with a moat bridge. There also is a lower levels where the boys rooms are. It is less formal down there. More about that at another time.
Outside you can see that the corridors with the stain glass windows are one story high. Also the walk thrus. They have a three foot high ceiling. Outside the ceiling is covered with smoothe concrete which also comes down to form a valance over the windows on the outside. There is a concrete 5 inch border in between the side windows and the center window of each section. You can see the brick columns in between the windows. The outside of the Mosque is light brown brick. a little darker brown brick and medium brick. Inside they are the same. The shingles on the roof are dark brown clay pot shingles. They may have some black specks in the shingles. This is basically the layout of the Mosque Palace. The extensions are like a rectangle box with a peaked roof that ties into the higher Mosque Roof.

Inside I decided that there should be another Mosque plate in the center shelf of the other hutch. Not a crystal dragon. This plate may be a little larger than the others. The crystal dragons would be on the shelf of the TV units. The TV is in the center of the unit there are twoo shelves of books under the TV. There is a door on either side of the two shelves and this is where DVDs would be stored. The DVD player would be on top of the TV. There are two cubicles on each side of the TV. There would be a framed picture of the younger children. Neeta and Amaraa in the top cubicles and Maboto and Abdul in the bottom cubicles. The crystal dragons are on the top shelf of the unit which has a divider in the middle. There would be two dragons on each side. Opposites of each other. The dragons are clear but have red crystal wings. The units are set up the same except the boys books may be different than the girls.
The chior chairs are not stained white. They would be Moroccan red/brown stain to match the doors. Some of the chairs are connected so that they don't get haphazard and look sloppy. There may be six connected on the three wide steps with a space in between to walk up the the walk thur platfrom(on the left side) Then there may be three or four connected chairs on the other side of the space. The high back chair with the armss on the fireplace platform is also Moroccan red/brown stain. The flag will have to be on the fireplace platform to the left of the highback chair. The other way it would be in front of the amplifer panel of this section of the pipes for the organ. There are also three of the wooden chairs on the right walk thru platform by the penance office supplies closet.
There is a brick ledge along the floor of the stain glass windows on the walk thru. The bricks run sideways and have a white laminated windoww sill near the floor at the bottom of the windows between the columnc.
The air conditioning vents are 8 inches by 10 feet and are on the floor in front of the white stucco panels under the balcaney. In the center there is a 2 1/2 feet x 8 inch vent on either sides of the hutches.

The corridors off the entranceway are angled so that they cross the diagonal glass panels of the Mosque. There are five sets of stain glass windows and columns along the right and left corridors with five windows each side. We will not use the window seats for the women. There are three rows of ten dark brown metal folding chairs for them by the clear windoe. This way they could see into the Mosque and still be separate
The window seats are about seven feet wide. The seat is white laminated. The side walls are brick. They have a two foot white laminated valance over the stain glass windows. There is a column single brick wide between the stain glass window panel and the center triangle topped center panel. The bottom of the seats have a light gray metal panel with louvers. These seem to be air conditioning vents. There must be working mecanisms inside the seats.
More about corridors next time.

The Roof, Details and the Corridors

The Mosque Room has a roof section for each side. The roofs sections are triangle and meet at the peak. Each of the roofs of the extensions tie into a triangle part of the roofs. The widow skylights are at the corners of the Mosque roofs. The extensions on the sides and the back are wider than the entranceway extension. This is why there are five stain glass windows in the corridors in the front and only four stain glass windows along the walk thrus. The extra windows in the front make up the difference in the width of the extensions.
The entranceway is the front of the building. The Mosque Room has the front at the other side of the Mosque room. This may be confusing.
There is a rectangle carpet on the alter platform behind the alter table. the carpet is moroon/red with some black, brown and off white in the design. All of the carpets have off white fringe at the ends and the semi circle carpet has off white fringe all around.
The black laquer Chinese credenza has brass handles knobs and hinges. The cd's are kept in the credenza drawers at the top. The credenza has three large drawers in the center and a door on each side with storage area.
The wall where the fireplace is is sheetrock and smooth. It is white. We will not br able to have the Gold Crsecent and Star above the painting. There is not enough room and it would br cluttered. Well we have the Crescent and Star in the stain glass window in the entranceway. The balconey libraries are also sheetrocked and white.
The music pit has a two feet brick wall. It is angled toward the people in the Mosque and the sides are angled toward the front and sides of the Mosque. This area is located on the left side of the Mosque Room.
There are a plain Moroccan red/brown stained table on either side of the brick wall when you come into the back of the Mosque Room. The table on the rifht has copies of the Quran on the top and the bottom shelf of the table. The table on the left is the same except on the top there is a basket with prayer beads in case someone needs a Quran or the beads.
The plates on the hutch will not be mosques. That would take away from this Mosque. The plates would be dragons or Islamic Angels. The hutch has a small drawer under the center shelf where the Excaliber is kept.
In the entranceway where the columns curves to the angled corridor., there is a palain moroccan red/brown table on each side by the column. There is a candle on each table. The candle is in a brass candle holder with a clear glass cover. The candles are eight inch diameter.
The thermastat for the air conditioning is located on the white wall in from the angled column. The thermastat is about five feet up and in between the painting on the wall and the corner of the angled column.
The corriodrs off the entranceway are about fifty three feet long.

The Right and Left Corridors

First, since Brim is algerian he could still have the same part of reporter for Abdelilah. He will just be an Algerian Correspondent. shamaliya(MS) will be the Moroccan Reporter and they go back to the Black Pyramids with Ahmed and the Egyptians.
chasli and night can be with Mohamed UK"s Malitia in Rabat.
The Navigator on the Seacat can be the First Mate and take Never_Mind's place because he will be a traitor to Prince Aboto. One of the other crew will have the part of the Navigator.
_______________________________________________________________________________________
The alter platfrom is a semi circle about seventeen feet across. The carpet on the alter would be 5 x 8. The stepps are brick and go all around the semi circle. There are three steps. The top step has bricks that barder the edge of the alter platform.
There is a three feet high and one foot wide white laminated panel which runs from the brick side wall of the entranceway to the Mosque wall. The 10 x 2 clear glass window panels rest on the top of the panels. One on each side of the entrance. The panels each have two speakers in them about four feet in from the ends. This way you can hear the message and prayers from the inside of the Mosque Room in the entranceway or if you are seated at one of the window seats.
The corriodrs are 9 feet wide and about 53 feet long. The ceilings of the corridors are very white 1 x 2 woven panels. The panels consist of the 1 x 2 panles.
The first window seat is across from the brick wall on the sides of the doors to the Mosque Room. The next three window seats are across from the diagonal corner of the Mosque Room. First the brick wall is angled into the Mosque Room. then there are the clear glass window panels with the etched glass panels attached on the side of the Mosque Room to the clear glass windows. The clear glass window panels are rectangle and the etched panels are rectangle with triangle top. the etched panels fit to the window panels and are fitted about 14 inches from the top of the clear window panels. There are three clear glass panels on each side of the three diagonal panels. One clear window and etched panels on each side of the rectangle triangle brick panel in the center. This brick panel is about 5 feet wide with clear glass fitted around. Then there is another brick wall angled back to the corridor.
There is a brass table with a clear glass top in front of the brick panel. the table has three curved legs and a half oval top with the straight side against the brick panel. The painting of The Bee from the story of Ahmed and Ishtar hangs above the brass/glass table centered on the brick panel below the triangle top part. There is a painting on each corridor, right anf left. the paintings are not exactly the same. There is The Bee pollenating the purple eggplant squash flower and the green leaves. This is The Bee.
There are three window seats across from the angled brick walls and the glass and brick panels.
The fifth window seat is at the end of the corridor across from where the corridor turns toward the next extension of the Palace along the outer side of the Mosque.
The stain glass windows are opposite along the right anf left corridors. Each colors of the windows and the design are opposites. First are opposite, second are opposites and so on.
There ia a dark brown metal light fixture on each of the columns along the corridors.
We have come to the first alcove at the end of the corridor. there is a red/brown Moroccan stained wood door which goes out into the alcove. the alcove is about 7 x 8 feet in size. After you enter the alcove there is a red/brown Moroccan stained doors to the right. this is the elevator which goes to the lower level or to the library balconey. This is used if necessary but mainly used to bring the laundry carts up from the lower level. This is how clean clothes are brought up to the right and left wings where the bedrooms and bathroom are located. Straight ahead after you enter the alcove is the dark metal exit door to the left wing.
Next there is another door on the right which is machine room. Probably for the elevator works. Next to the exit door to the left wing is a door to the stair well to the library balconey or down to the lowere level.
The alcove off the right corridor exits to the right with red/brown Moroccan stain door. Inside there is the alcove and straight ahead is the dark metal exit door to the right wing.
to the left in the alcove is the red/brown Moraccan wood door to the right stair well to the library balconey and the lower level according to where you want to go.

The Right Side Corridor

The Mosque Palace must be thought of as a Mystical Mirage Palace somewhere in Morocco for now.
More Details: The speakers in the white laminated panels over the entrance to the corridors and the corner of the window and white stucco walls are round. The speaker covers are white just like the laminated ceiling panels.
The Penance coat closets in the back of the Mosque Room are sheetrocked and painted white. The door on the right opens right and the door to the one on the left opens left. There is a switch on the wall as you enter. the switch has a brass switch plate cover. The switches operate the light fixture on the ceiling of the rooms. The light fixture are brass with a white translucent cover. The rooms are eight feet high. This is where light weight coats are kept. The guy's closet is on the left and the girl's closet is on the right. The coat closets in the entranceway are guys to the left and the girl's to the right.
There is a two brick high ledge under the clear glass and etched panels in the corridors. The ledges run from the angled brick wall under the glass panels to the center brick panel where the paintings of The Bee are hung. The corridor is about seventeen feet wide from the window seat to the point where the brick wall meets with the glass panels. The corridor is dramatic. There is a green leafy plant by the angled brick walls near where they meet the glass panels. That would make four plants, one by each of the angled brick walls. Two at each side of the corridors.
Along the entranceway corridors there are two sections of two feet wide diagonal bricks. they break up the pattern of the light brown ceramic floor tile(12 inch x 12 inch or 10 inch x 10 inch?)
The alcoves and the entranceway corners where the windows and white stucco walls on each side are, are 7 feet x 7 feet in size. This makes the entranceway 26 x 35 feet in size with the 5 foot wide entrance vestibule.
Even if the ceilings are planked, they are first sheetrocked and painted white. Sheet rock is not very flammable. The ceilings with the Moroccan ceiling motifs are also sheetrocked and painted. They would be painted white before the other work would get done.
Any door that is wood and stained red/brown Moroccan stain has dark stained door frame and moldings around the doors..
Around the right corridor is the right side corridor. There is a brick wall at the end and around the other side of the brick wall is a three and half foot partition. This is where the dark metal side door from the Mosque Room opens against the brick partition. This is the side corridor and it is about six feet wide. with continued light brown ceramic floor tiles. The left side corridor is similar to this point but opposite. The wall next to the alcove at the end of the front corridor would be the outer wall of the 10 x 13 foot stair well. The entrance to the stair well to the lower level and up to the balconey library is located to the left in the alcove. The floor of the alcoves are brick.
Along this side corridor you come to the door to the children's play room. This room is 13 x 22 feet in size. The door and frame and moldings is painted glittery silver paint. the door opens to the left. Inside the room is planked with ornate floor and top moldings and the planking is painted glittery silver. The planking is three feet high. The upper part of the play room is wall papered with lime green, silver and off white striped wall paper. There is a switch with a silver switch plate cover on the wall to the right. This controls the ceiling fan which is stainless steel with a light which is three white tulip lights. There is a pull chain to set the speed of the fan. The ceiling is painted lime gree and there is a molding around the ceiling which is painted glittery silver. (If glittery silver paint would not work then everything glittery would be shiny silver.)
Across the room there is a doll house with furntiure in the two corners. There is a book case in between with a shelf of books for children and toys on the upper shelf.
On the wall to the right there is a large fish tank with different kinds of fish. The tank sits on a silver glossy painted cabinet. The tank cover is stainless steel. The floor is hardwood and it is stained grey. There is a round carpet centered under the ceiling fan. The carpet is off white with fringe.
There is a doll crib with sheet, pillow and blanket and of course the doll against the left wall. There is another doll crib in the corner by the fish tank. Against the front wall there are two bins with boy toys.
This is the Children's Play Room.
