Help With Moroccan Phrases
Hello,
I am Syrian and I am making a site on Arabic and I would like to add a page with some Moroccan Arabic phrases to it. I did a little research and I came up with some phrases. I would like to know what you think about the following ones please. I am specifically using the the dialect of Rabat for now. I will appreciate any suggestions about the right vowels to use or about the missing things. Thank you! Vowels a : short aa : long i : short ee : long u : short oo : long Yes Na3am نعم Iyeh ... or eh ? Ai-wa like in "air" ... or ei-wa like in "Einstein" ? No Laa ... or la' ? (with or without hamza?) O.K. ? d'accord ? In formal Arabic it is: حسنا Please 3afaak عافاك l-laah ykhalleek Thank you Shukran You're welcome blaa jmeel laa shukr 3laa waajib Excuse me sma7 lee ... or sma7 liyya ? I am sorry ? sma7 lee ? No problem maa shee mushkil ? maa feesh mushkil Hello s-salaamu 3alaykum salam ahlan ? marhaba ? Hello (response) wa 3alaykum s-salaam Welcome ahlan ?
