Miracles degrade real devotees

When the Lord exposes Himself as the source of all the infinite super natural powers, all the people will run to Him with the same speed and will sacrifice to their maximum. In such a case you cannot differentiate the real devotee from a fraud devotee. The reason is that the super natural power attracts all the people with equal force. When acids are dissolved in water they show equal strengths because water being a highly polar solvent attracts the hydrogen ions from all acids equally so that their extent of ionization becomes same. The strong acid cannot be differentiated from a weak acid. This is called as the leveling effect. When the same acids are dissolved in glacial acetic acid, which is a weak solvent, the acids will ionize to different extents as per their inherent nature.
When an important government official asks for some amount of money, all the merchants will run to him with equal speed and give that amount. In this case you cannot differentiate the real donor from the real greedy merchant. But when a beggar begs for some money, a real donor donates whereas a greedy person refuses. The real nature of the individuals comes out only in the case of the beggar. Similarly, when God comes in human form and exhibits super natural powers, all the people rush to Him with equal speed and show equal love for God. [Ofcourse God cannot be fooled in this way. He exactly knows who the real devotee is and who the selfish devotee is, since God is all-knowing.]

Even if God recognizes the real devotee by His all-knowing power and rewards him, the other devotees will find fault with God. They will argue that even though the extent of devotion of all devotees was equal, the Lord showed partiality. Therefore, God in human form will not exhibit miracles and will exhibit only His inseparable special knowledge, which projects Him only as a Guru [Teacher] and not as Bhagavan [God]. Datta means God donated to the devotees in human form. His right half is Guru and the left half is Bhagavan. Only the right half is projected and the left half is hidden. Only in this case can the real devotees be filtered.

It is absolutely incorrect. When Easa alahissalam exhibited unprecedented demonstrative signs the majority of Jews deliberately called it illusions and only a minority accepted. Sign were shown not for attracting love but to create fear for opening the eyes of people.

Knowledge is more important than miracle.

Knowledge is more important than miracle. The miracle gives only information about the concept of unimaginable power which is wonderful. When the imagination fails the wonder is generated Maya means wonderful and there by it means unimaginable. By this Maya, the possessor of Maya (Mayin) is inferred. Thus, miracle gives the inference of the existence of unimaginable God. But this alone is not sufficient. Knowledge consists of three components.

One is God (goal), the second is the soul (traveler) and the third is the path to please God. These three items (Triputi) forms the whole structure of knowledge. The soul cannot get the grace of the Lord unless the three components are perfectly realized. In miracle, you have understood only about the existence of unimaginable God, who can never be worshipped or served. Therefore, the real form of God is also not known even in that one component known by miracle.

The knowledge gives the real form of God as human incarnation. By the knowledge you can know that your self is not God already. By the knowledge only you can know that the practical sacrifice is only path to please the God. Therefore the miracle is useful to just enlighten one aspect of one component (God) only. For atheists only these miracles are necessary who do not believe even in the basic existence of God.

The minimum level of calling someone rational is that he accepts and believes that he is created one. The moment he accepts he is the created one he impliedly accepts there is a Creator Who created him. He accepts he has a Sustainer Lord. It is not the miracle that makes him understand the existence of Sustainer Lord. The unprecedent happening will only awake him if he had become neglectful but those who are by design and will neglectful and are enslaved by vested interests," miracles" and knowledge has no effect on them.

Secret of Miracles

The whole universe itself is a miracle, which is the modification of His mind called Maya. The mind is His energy or power. This power is the substance that pervades all over the world. This Maya (mind) is the water and all the objects of the world are only waves in this Maya. Since the Maya is inseparable from the Lord, you can say that the Lord (Brahman) is modified into the world. When you are day-dreaming and you imagine a dream-city, you are not modified into the city.

Only your mind is modified. As your mind changes, so does the dream-city. Therefore according to Maya, anything can take place in this world. The Maya is under the full control of the Lord. The wish of the Lord itself is Maya. All the miracles are only the wishes of the Lord. The Lord may wish to follow certain rules, in such case, there is no miracle. But when the Lord wishes to break some rules, a miracle happens.

Therefore, miracles are not the real characteristic signs of the Lord and the power to do them is transferable from the Lord to anybody. The miracles are only associated characteristics of the Lord like ornaments or jewels. The Lord may exhibit His jewels or may remove and hide them. Lord Krishna exhibited miracles and Lord Rama did not exhibit.

A cow should be recognized only by the characteristic loose skin hanging below its neck, which is not present in the case of any other animal. Similarly the Lord must be recognized only by His characteristic signs like Jnana, Prema and Ananda (knowledge, love and bliss).

this is more of a myth than reality. A non believer who is leading a normal day 2 day life doing his chores does not need to be awakened. God does not hate non believers. the Creator is like a director who keeps watch that everybody plays there part.

God doesn’t mind even atheism provided the justice is maintained in the society
If God and hell are not accepted, the sin will grow to climax

Miracles only prove the existence of unimaginable God. Anybody including the demon demonstrating the miracles is in the service of God to establish the existence of God to an atheist. Miracles exist widely with God in human form, devotees and even evil demons. Establishment of existence of original unimaginable God is the fundamental subject that needs wide publicity and hence God has spread miracles in wide range. Once the existence of God is accepted, the atheist becomes theist. This is the foundation step.

Even Shankara spent all His life in the first step only to convert atheistic Purvamimamsakas and Buddhists. Existence of God is needed even to establish Pravrutti through creating fear for hell. If God and hell are not accepted, the sin will grow to climax in a slow and steady way. Atheists promise to follow justice even without faith in God, but such promise is not having strong basis and it can be violated at any time. God doesn’t mind even atheism provided the justice is maintained in the society. But there is always a possibility of violation of justice if the hell disappears from the mind. When you are provoked to do injustice, at least the concept of hell and God will control you to certain extent. At least the percentage of people committing sins will be reduced. Of course, the concept of God and hell is not bringing the percentage to Zero, but if that concept is totally absent, by one day or other the percentage will be hundred.

For this point only, God comes down to establish His existence and there by create the fear for hell so that at least the percentage of sin and injustice comes to a minimum level, though complete eradication is impossible. God is not at all bothered to establish Himself for the sake of Nivrutti. If the society runs completely on justice, He will not mind even if all the human beings are atheists.
