Where is peace in Islam

Most Arabs apart from a few of the Gulf are quite democratic & diplomatic in their approach to other Ppls religion and beliefs
Unlike the Arab countries Pakistan & their Ppl are hell bent on destroying thier own ppl by supporting Taliban and also wanting to convert whole world into Islam and ruling the world on basis of Shariya which is a very dictating ideology considering there r other ppl who have doff beliefs
so i wonder:

1.wot makes ppl from such Muslim nation behave in this manner?

2.Also why has not a single Imam from the land of mecca ever thought of fighting/banning such terror ridden acts which definetely give the Islam religion a bad name and portray it as the religion known to spread terror.

3.Does Islam really forbid girls to go to schools? Force women to marry some1,The ghastly Taliban acts of torture on men,women,children and not allowing them to educate themselves, forced marriages are these part of Shariya as told more often by the Talibans?

4. why Muslims dont use peaceful ways to promote their religion like Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism, Farsi, Hinduism
one never sees a Buddhist, Jain, Sikh or a Hindu Priest trying hard to convert other Ppl or resorting to terror acts. They only use peaceful methods to inform the world abt their beliefs and leave to the individual to chose his faith.

5. The real JIhad should be against those Muslims who break the code of conduct in Islam and give Islam a bad name by spreading terror. While Muslims talk abt JIhad not 1 shows courage to do a JIhad against the terrorists.

Anybody interested to answer and present their views on this subject with profound logical explanations & conviction.

Hi guys and girls, firstly I am a Christian. Secondly i am married to a berber man who was raised muslim. For the very reason of the terrorists using the muslim religion as war weapons - my husband doesnt want to be muslim. For all the pain and suffering he have witnessed "in the name of Allah" - he just doesnt want to except that it is the work of a good and loving God. My believe are that the terrorists are giving the muslim religion a horrible name. Politics and religion are to different subjects and should be treated as such. I grew up with muslims in my country (south africa), and for me the south african muslims are respectable humanbeings. Everybody should respect each others reglion and i think that south africa has accompliched just that. i also believe (but that is only me) that the muslim and christian religion rooted from the very same religion, becuase some of our bible/koran books are the same we both have Moses and Jesus in our religious books. its only my opinion - i think back in the years with no technology and dictionaries it was difficult for different races to spread the word of the Koran/bible properly. DONT fight against muslims, FIGHT AGAINST TERRORISM.

PS. Non muslims should also not eat pork meat, the old people where wise, these animal's meat does trigger cronic tonsilites for a fact. And some months in the year it has "measels" which are infact the eggs of a horrible 7m tall worm(some older generation believed it was a snake because of its size) that can live inside of humans if contaminated meat are eaten - HORRIBLE YUCK ! !

I will never understand this need for anyone to think that their way to God is the only way and so see it as some kind of duty to convert anyone they can. Like having to convert just to marry or all children of such a marraige automatically be considered muslim

Apathy? unless they also think that any means to spread Islam is valid. Which surely they do not.

No it does not to any of the above. The Taliban have twisted Islam into something else entirely for their own cruel ends. They have done more harm to Islam by this that they can ever know. It's there fault that Islam is now seen my many as a religion prepared to use terror tactics as well as abuse their own people.

I'm sure real muslims do so, but you never hear of them.

I agree with most of what Takfa says... God is about love, forgiveness, compassion, tolerance and peace. He would not want war and acts of terrorism commited in his name. Shame that so called God fearing poeple fail to grasp this simple point.

But do not agree with the bit about pork. There used to be an old saying about not eating pork during the summer months, this was because it spoils quicker than other meats. But nowadays we have refridgeration and so this is not an issue. Regarding the worms or Trichinosis, is a parasitic disease caused by eating raw or undercooked pork or wild game infected with the larvae of a species of roundworm Trichinella spiralis, commonly called the trichina worm. The few cases in the United States are mostly the result of eating undercooked game, bear meat, or home-reared pigs. It is common in developing countries where meat fed to pigs is raw or undercooked. So if pigs are not fed raw swill they do not have the worms. If the meat is cooked properly the worms are distroyed. Although pigs have a similar physiology in some ways, as they use pig valves sometimes in heart sugery. It's not possible to catch human viruses from them...the virus would have to mutate, like the bird flu virus did. Swine flu in humans is possible but only if the person has direct contact with pigs and has the human flu virus. It can't be caught from eating pork.

But it's up to the individual to decide eat or not eat it, it's a personal choice.

Arwen I suffer from cronic tonsillitis since I am a child. The part of TONSILLITIS is true, but I only get it from prossessed pork, I dont know if you have it in your country. It is called Ham.
And for the part of the worm: if the contaminated meat is not properly cooked you can get this worm. its the eggs of the worm that is in the meat and the worm grows in the intestines of a human being. The pigs are actually contaminated by eating the eggs found inother aninaml and humans pooh.
If you like, you can google this two sientific names and the picture of it (its the latin words) Taenia saginata and Taenia solium. The english word for it is a TAPEWORM. Believe me, its one ugly worm and it is huge.
I do eat pork but only if its fryed beyond recognision. I am not fond of it at all.
