Do you remember?
![]() all gone except a Mosque http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/shared/spl/h..._on/html/1.stm What do you think God is saying to us? |

My personal take on this...
wakey..wakey... call America the super power??? huh.. there is only one real super power 'Allah' 'subhana wa ta3alla' its my reminder that this 'dounya' can be taken away at any time, there are people that get carried away and live for this world, and then there are those that are trying to please Allah to secure their place in 'janaa' in the hereafter.... i say Alhamdolillah when i wake up every day, that Allah has given me the chance to live another day to put right my sins. |

It is the verse from the Quran, which tells us to pray 3 times a day.
I feel kinda cynical about the message presented in such an image - To me it is no surprise, as many people in that area lived in poorly erected buildings that had absolutely no chance of withstanding a tidal wave. The mosque was obviously a stronger structure that could and did survive, as did the trees that are in the picture. |

I think LM would have had a point if it was one mosque only but http://miracle-tsunami.blogspot.com/

Hi Rocam
Thanks for the link. I would have to see pictures of what the area was like before the Tsunami had struck, before I come to the conclusion that such a thing is miraculous and not a consequence of man made inadequancies/advantages. I would imagine that the houses that were around it, were huts and shacks that had been built from raw materials. Which is what many people in Indonesia and Thailand live in. Such is similar to what many Moroccan people in Orobiya live in. It is only a recent occurrence that some people who still live in Orobiya are starting to build and live in more conventional houses that are built using sufficient materials... where before they had lived in mud brick houses. It would usually only be the Mosques which were the decent buildings in the villages. This mud brick mosque in Mali needs to be restored after the rains have come down.
