i have given my fitr + a donation to this charity it's a way to ensure my money is going to those that are in real need.

kool... but generally speaking...really one should give and what one gives should be kept between him/herself and allah... do not disclose who and what you have given.

You get a lot of people saying !Ive give x amount to charity! ?? that is nuts, they could just be bragging about their generosity... you get all sorts in this day and age...

I totally understand, and the reason i shared this was to show other Muslims how easy it is to donate your money to those that are really in need. there are Muslims who worry about who the fitr should be given to, and there are young Muslims who go no where near a mosque! this way it is done anonymously and the amount is between you and Allah.
