Sura 37:139--182.

Here is a very VAGUE story of Jonah.

** Where did he come from and from where did he flee? none.

** Where was the ship headed and on what beach he was disposed (beach of Morocco?)? None.

** To whom was he sent (Algerians?) (37:147) and what was his message? None.

** Some arguments and religious ramblings (37:149-182).

-----------------------------------------------------

No country, no location, no context. I wonder what Saudis make of this story since they banned the Bible there. I wonder why Muhammad put this vague story in the Koran in the first place --- whether he borrowed it from the Bible, or a Saudi named Jonah had a similar experience and told it to Muhammad. IMAGINATION GONE WILD!

Just read Sura 37:133-138.

Very vague and inaccurate.

You've been reading the Koran alot Theja, are you thinking of converting to Islam

Why do we need unimportant details, the important thing is the MORAL of the story. In any case if the Koran was really copied from the Bible (like you say it is) then why didn't we just copy the whole Jonah story from the Bible. You see Theja, the Koran was revealed by Allah, as the FINAL book to mankind.

The Koran is a living, user friendly book. Not something that we leave on the shelf and read on a Sunday

Reading the Koran and finding bizarre stories. Am discovering that Muslims may be following Allah out of fear.

Finding bizarre stories? Didn't u say the Koran was copied from the Bible. So all the stories in the Koran are in the Bible too

The definition of hell is the same in the Koran and Bible

Btw we love our darling Allah who cares and provides for us spiritually, emotionally and materially.

Juma Moubarak to all the Muslims. I am feeling really blessed today, Alhamdolillah.

The bizarre part is that the stories are very vague and twisted.....

I have received my citizenship in heaven, so hell is no longer a fear for me.

I am sorry that Muslims will continue to have deep fear, loneliness, and PAIN in the heart no matter how religious they are and even if they pray 10 times a day. Religion has no remedy for the heavy heart.
