Jeff, not in the way it has been portrayed in many writings.

But as a student of Bible prophecy, I believe a concerted effort by certain nations against Israel will take place in the future. Not because God has decreed it; but because God can see it coming, so it is placed in scripture.

You see Theja, God gave us a brain for a reason. I don't believe that Armaggedon if it ever happens will be because God has planned it, but because humans themselves caused it to take place. I see so many good Christians dedicating their lives and money to this event so that Christ Jesus may finally return. Especially the denomination of the Pentecostals (about 3 million people in the US including our lovely former Attorney General Ashcroft) who in a program showed a farmer who is growing some red cattle so that it can be slayed on the steps of the temple when it's rebuilt. These people do their best to stop the peace process between Israel and Palestine. Some right wing Jewish zealots are planning to kick the Arab population out, and expand Israel to include Sinai, Jordan and Lebabon, and be called the Kingdom of David. They want the end of democracy and the establishment of a Theocracy. Don't forget that Israel is also alienating a lot of Arab countries by its policy of extensive settlement building and expansion on the Palestinian territories. Why are they doing that? Do they really want peace? I know some do, but what about the government.

Anyway, I hope that the Arabs will finally accept Israel as an asset to the area, and that Israel will accept Palestine as a free country, and that hopefully both people will put hand in hand and work together for a better future for themselves and their posterity.

No more killing, no more bloodshed...Peace forever.

Now back to your so called freedom, we too have the best democracy in the world and yet the so called constitution act you have mentioned have failed to protect the Muslims ,so many Innocent people were arrested fro over 3 years under maximum security and despite the the law that protect innocent people the governement have failed to respect that law and it took over 20 hours of arguments between the House of LORD and the Parliamant and the law was rejected and the innocent people who were never charged nor were told the reason of the arrest were finally released and to show you how bad the Governement is back in the 80-90 the IRA were bombing us almost every week and not one person was arrested without a charge yet when it comes to the muslims they are guilty simply because they have Muslims names.

However I saw people getting stoned in Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan... Muslims are fanatics when it comes to executions. You can't really blame them because all they do is follow their prophets saying. Do you remember when Mohammed said: 7afido 3alla 7odoudi allah? Tomorrow if Shari'a is instituted in Morocco, people will lose their lives and hands will disapper. This is a fact. I hope the Islamists will never take over any country. Sincerely, I do.
