What if a person says they are "Muslim" yet they do not pray? I know many people who say that because they believe thats all is needed to be a muslim/a

Is there anything that takes you out of the fold of Islam????

salam!
making salat is what makes us muslims!
when a person's nafss is weak and troubled ,he should pray just the obligatory ones.
when things goes wrong!
some people remember ALLAH and no matter what happen to them...they pray salat!
i will say that salat is love and because it is the only emails and fone calls and letter and way of communication we have with allah.
SATAN will always be there in order to prevent you from doing it!
so be aware!
if you do not know how to pray stand in lines with poeple in mosques and ask and learn!
do not think if some one mokes you than that is it ..
you should not pray no more!
strive and pray!
and yes we all go throu temptations and tests !
butwhat i may say is do your prayers as two rakaat to start with and that untill you learn!
and remember it is not how people pray in mosques or how people are!
it is dial salat and speak for free to your lord!
ALLAH
wasslam

Thumbs up

Salam All

Salat should be both for good times and bad times in our daily lives...thanking Allah swt for the good he has given us in our lives daily and saying hamdulilah for whatever Allah swt has not given us is a must...

Salat 5 times a day makes us think really good and hard about what we are doing good and bad, and from that heedaya comes from Allah swt...without salat we really are nothing Allah hdeena Inshallah...Ameen

Prayer for the Christian....

In the Christian faith, besides communion with God through prayer, it is also the instrument to receive power from God -- the power to live according to God's will and impact others for His glory.

One can easily tell by hearing the message if a preacher is a person of prayer or simply too busy to invest time in prayer. A preacher can deliver a well-prepared sermon, but it will hardly impact the audience if much prayer is not behind it. But if he is a man of prayer, the audience can feel the special presence of God as the message is delivered.

Many Churches fold because the leaders are too lazy or do not give importance to prayer. The audience cannot feel the presence of God in such churches and stop coming or move to other dynamic churches. Of course a few will faitfully continue to attend dead or half-dead churches by force of habit. But many move away to churches that invigorates them with the word of God and the presence of God.

PRAYER IS ONE ESSENTIAL KEY.

Lightbulb THEJA TELL ME YOUR OPINION

HOLY QURAN
O you who believe! obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority from among you; then if you quarrel about anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you believe in Allah and the last day; this is better and very good in the end. (4:59)
Say: Obey Allah and obey the Messenger; but if you turn back, then on him rests that which is imposed on him and on you rests that which is imposed on you; and if you obey him, you are on the right way; and nothing rests on the Messenger but clear delivering (of the message). (24:54)
